⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointed With Our Server
I took my father to Pontiac Lake Inn for a burger because I hadn’t been there in over 10 years, and I remembered how good the food was. The burgers were still amazing — no complaints there at all.
But our server, Patty, was absolutely terrible.
She never checked on us once to see if we needed anything. No refills, no “how’s everything,” nothing. She acted like we were an inconvenience the entire time, almost annoyed that we were even sitting in her section. It made what should’ve been a great meal with my dad feel uncomfortable and rushed.
If you go, make sure you’re NOT seated in Patty’s section. The food is great, but the service from her was the exact opposite.

It’s a cool place, small bar restaurant, good food especially the burgers. But the best thing is a waitress and bartender named Grace. Sorry dont know her last name, she has red hair. We really like her a lot. Efficient, but very good personality, funny as heck, talks sports with my husband, good joke teller. When we go there we make sure to ask for her. So be sure to go and enjoy the food and a great person named Grace. It’s worth it.

It’s a dive bar with dive-bar prices—but the food tastes like someone’s grandma went to culinary school. Grace, Patty, Bobby, Cassie, Lisa, Hope, Tiffany, Shannon, and the whole crew treat you like a regular even if you’ve only been there five minutes. Come for the cheap drinks, stay because the staff is fantastic and the food keeps talking you into ‘just one more bite.

Normally, this is very good food, for a bar. Today it was awful. We ordered carry out of chicken tenders and fries. It was so bad, I literally couldn’t eat even half of my meal. This was our dinner, before what’s supposed to be a snowstorm on it’s way. I generally only eat ONCE PER DAY. …There’s no way that cook looked at that food, and felt it was good enough, IT SHOULD HAVE went into the trash, and started over. I’ve never left a bad review for anyone, but this was SO SO AWFUL. If you’re going to eat there, I suggest only eating while you’re there. Don’t order carryout. .

YESTERDAY, we did the Slim Jim, was so freaking good!!!!
Burgers were great, just look how nice and big that hamburger patty is, and cooked perfect! the fried pickles and tatter tots were awesome too!!!

Great burgers! Often understaffed from my experience, so don’t go if you’re in a hurry. Servers are great, but it’s difficult for 1 or 2 people to cover the entire restaurant (happened several times when I’ve visited)

This is a place you have to try if you’re looking for the best burger in Oakland county. It’s easily in my top 5 for best burgers in the area. The building is small and always busy drinks are cheap and food is delicious its set back off the main road if you’re having a hard time looking for it. But definitely take the trip her for a a PLI burger.
