Staying at the Super 8 motel and figured I could enjoy some extra beers without worrying about driving, so I made the short walk across the street. So glad I did because this place is legit! I ordered the chicken Katsu plate from the kitchen along with a Dragon roll from the sushi bar. Both dishes were excellent. My server was very friendly and attentive and Samuel the owner & sushi chef was very cool. Can’t wait to dine here again next time I visit Grand Targhee.

This is the go to place in The Valley for sushi. I am not just saying that because it is the the only sushi restaurant in the area. It’s because Sam and his staff are polite, professional, and fast.
The head sushi chef Sam has been making sushi for 12 years. He is truly a master of his craft sending out perfect rolls every time. He is truly a professional and has great passion for his business.
I personally love the eel hand roll, salmon roll, and yellowtail roll. Another great touch is the cold mugs the beer is poured into.
The restaurant space is always in tip top shape and clean. I highly recommend Pono’s Ono sushi for its consistency, atmosphere, and fresh sushi.

Great food, atmosphere, and service. Highly recommend the fried gyoza and the fried banana and ice cream. We also had the special roll “the adrenaline roll” super duper good. I get nervous when I see specials at sushi places because they’re typically kind of weird ya know? But this guy knows what’s up. 10/10 would try again.
Also notice the only one star review was some dingaling who didn’t even get to try the food.

Didn’t get to try their food because of poor customer service. Bottom line is I made a reservation online and called to confirm, however, they honored both walk-ins and a larger party rather than our party of two. When we arrived there on time, there was no table for us. They seated people that walked in even though we called to confirm our reservation rather than telling them they needed to wait. Also, told us that a party of six had called after our reservation and they honored that reservation. Wanted the profits from a larger party, rather than doing the right thing. They should have given us that table. Poor management and disorganized. Went down the street to Citizen 33. I suggest you check that place out instead…OUTSTANDING!
