We decided to try this place out finally and have a couple drinks for my birthday. There was about 15 of my family members that joined us, but no same day reservations. That didn’t stop or BEYOND AMAZING server, Mike, from setting up tables, full with waters & pitchers of waters, silverware, condiments, etc., all within about four minutes!!! I cannot speak highly enough about Mike first off, not a single person went without feeling his care and attention! The Cherry Cider and Lime Lager were both delicious. We got the Bavarian Pretzel, with all the dipping sauces (stone ground mustard, honey mustard, beer cheese and queso) and the Spicy Cheese Curds. Both were seriously yummy!!! That pretzel was massive, and crusty but soft, just prefect! The spicy cheese curd did have a little bite and tasted like super fresh cheese! We didn’t get meals as we were just celebrating, but I’m definitely going back to try other stuff out. Thank you Mike for being so above and beyond for my family and I!!!!
Went back again today (10-29) for a quick drink & pretzel after work. Sherri, the bar tender, was beyond amazing!!!! The pretzel was still delicious as well, I can’t recommend it enough honestly!!!

Love, love love this place!! The food is always amazing and Donna and Sherri make me feel like I’m “home” when I come here. It’s hard to stay away from the green chili cheese fries though! The beer is brewed in house and totally fabulous! However, Sherri makes the best Prickly Pear Vodka Martini on the planet! Don’t walk, run! It won’t disappoint and the service is FABULOUS!!

We were there on karaoke night which was fun. Had the ponderosa burger and the Bavarian pretzel both of which were pretty tasty. One of the better pretzels I’ve had in a while and came with four different dipping sauces. Service was friendly but a bit slow. It looked like there were only 2 people covering the floor and the bar. Definitely worth a visit though.

Have been in a few times; have had great service and food. We had the Burnt Tacos and the Fish and Chips! Beer selection is good. Customer service from Donna was great!
4-6-25: Food and beer was good. Service from Sherri was not good as she seemed hurried, rude, and very condescending. Sherri treated some customers with respect and did not rush them. The environment had been good and relaxing.
9-5-25: Again Food and Beer were good! Mike was a great bartender!!

Tyler (server, greeter, bartender, cashier, etc.), hit it out of the park! We honestly cannot recall the last time we’ve seen someone with such amazing work ethic! Tyler didn’t stop the entire time we were there. The place was busy and he took care of everything! We were thoroughly impressed!
Mr. Wonderful had the green chili, beer-cheese burger and there wasn’t a crumb left on his plate. I had the twice burnt tacos, I know how it sounds, but they are delicious! The accompanying chips were fresh out of the fryer.
The atmosphere is dark wood, welcoming and pub like. They do offer outdoor seating.

I was visiting Albuquerque and after a very hot sunny day walking around i found this place. Honestly both my dog zuko amd I were very hot and thirsty! Walking in immediately was hit with a cool blast of fresh air! It was so nice and cool inside, very nice, clean and welcoming atmosphere to both myself and my dog zuko. We took our seat and was immediately attended, I asked for a very cold beer and was immediately served a tall glass of cold refreshing beer. They took such good care of my dog zuko, they brought him a tray of water, and were very welcoming to him. I sat and zuko layed down and basked in the cool refreshing air while I was brought back to life with an ice cold beer and zuko was refreshed with cool water. Poderosa brewery is a beautiful brewery, plenty of seating for big or small parties, plenty of beer choices and the food, which I didn’t expect to order but as I sat there hunger started to creep in. I ordered the Nachos amd let me tell u, delicious and its a huge tray! But most of all I have to say Poderosa brewery was VERY welcoming to both me and my dog zuko. So weather ur visiting Albuquerque or a local, ponderosa brewery is a must stop when visiting old town Albuquerque.

Cool brewery close to Old Town. The beers are great. Food is very good. They used to have happy hour specials which made it much more fun and reasonable but it’s still a fun place to visit. The Oktoberfest is really good. The IPA’s are very good too. They forgot a key ingredient in our salad too, which they need to be more careful about. Portion sizes were nice.

I had such a wonderful experience at Ponderosa! I ordered the Green Chile “Beer” Cheese Burger and it was delicious, 100% recommended. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Also, I tried the Ghost Train IPA and it was delicious!

I was finally able to visit Ponderosa Brewing Company and I was not disappointed. The appetizers were awesome! They have a great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining. We had to sit outside but it was well shaded and they had water misters to help with the heat. The beer selections were ice cold and refreshing. The 90’s music was also a good touch. It’s worth visiting. Plenty of parking and also souvenirs to take home. Give it a try!
