If you’re into great dive bars, Ponderosa should be on your list. It’s got that classic local vibe—unpretentious and welcoming. The burger? One of the best in town. Hand-formed, never frozen, and full of flavor. Known among regulars for their chicken gizzards too—if you know, you know. Drinks are cheap, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighborhood hangout. Bonus points to the new owners for updating the bathrooms—much appreciated! A must-visit if you’re in “West Omaha”

First time at the Ponderosa, in way too long. I had the prime rib and it was excellent. Huge portions, tasted as good as it gets, and at an unbelievable price. If the food is half the reason to go to the “Pondo” the staff is the other reason, happy, fun, interesting folks, all about customer service. I will be back soon and often. No reason to hesitate on going for dinner at the Ponderosa, just go and you will be glad you did.

On our way back to Wisconsin and thought we would see if there was a pondersa steakhouse in Nebraska!!! Found pondersa on our GPS and took us to the middle of nowhere! We were shocked to see it was not the one we were picturing in our minds but what a happy little suprise and wonderful adventure! Excellent food!!! Loved meeting the locals what wonderful people to meet and chat with! We just had to purchase tshirts to remember our trip to “PONDERSA”!!!! If and when we come through Nebraska again we will for sure be back to chat with the locals once again and our jouney!!! Must stop for sure! Thank you staff and locals for the memories we will cherish!

I go to the Ponderosa for cheap drinks, great food, and chill vibes! I like it so much I even got a part time job there lol. Make sure to hit up Jordyn on Monday nights, she’s the best of the best. She’ll never let your drink run dry and can cook up a damn good burger. Don’t believe me go check it out yourself!

Love the Pondo! Staff is lovely and vibe is comfortable. Easy place to meet for a drink or Taco Tuesday or Prime Rib Saturday. Don’t have to be a regular to feel welcome… but lots of farmers and cattle ranchers in the mix. Cheap and good. Tell them Jeff and Lynn sent you!

Was back in town for the holidays and had to stop in to the Pondo for some Nebraska nostalgia. Always nice to hit up a good ole welcoming Midwest watering hole. Good eats, surprisingly good selection of beers and liquors, and Amira was holding it down taking care of everyone, cooking, and still giving great service.

Saturday prime rib supposed to start at 5. They hadnt yet begun cooking it. When we were finally served the meal, the meat was so fatty, the baked potato was still uncooked and the roll was nothing special. $35 per plate! Nothing special. Save your money. Very disappointing.

Great food here, the burgers are very good, and the onion rings or fries are both great too. The server was amazing. It is a nice small town bar that does an amazing job!!!

We sat for quit a while (15-20 minutes) before we were even acknowledged. It was not a busy night with only a handful of tables. The kids working were at the bar visiting. When someone finally came over we placed our drink order and appetizer order. (The fried mushrooms were very yummy!) We got our dinner before we got our appetizer. Prime rib was good. A bit expensive! Ask about the prime rib prices before you order it because it is not shown on the menu. We would have only gotten one and something else had we known. were a little shocked at our $95 bill, that’s our fault for not asking.
