Went here December 5. Food was very very good. All the girls were exceptional and very friendly. I also dropped a 20.00 bill at front register and one of the waitresses turned it in. My husband told me to check with the desk where you pay for your food and sure enough they had it for me. She was pretty sure it was me that had dropped it as I told her when paying that I was sorry I did not have any thing smaller than twentys at the time. Such honest people. Always smiling. Most of the food I tried wasn’t very good. It was like some of the ingredients were old. The servers also need more than a receipt to denote a new table has been seated. It took us 5-10min to figure out who our server was and to get silverware. However, once we got our server she was excellent.

We stopped by for a quick lunch before attending a funeral. We arrived shortly after opening. The restaurant was already packed. The buffet was hot and fresh. I had chicken wings, bbq chicken, cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes. Everything tasted great. My husband ordered the buffet and added sirloin tips and a baked potato for an additional $2.50. The sirloin tips were cooked exactly how he loves them and the baked potato was steaming hot and heaping full of butter and sour cream. From the buffet he had cabbage, popcorn shrimp, fried fish, corn and mashed potatoes. He cleared his plate. There was also a waiter bring fresh blueberry muffins around to the tables. I had ice water which was kept full by our waitress, Shannon. My husband had sweet tea and he asked for a second glass which he never does, so it must have been great.

We have 2-local Ponderosa’s who could take some well needed lessons from this restaurant. This restaurant was clean, well kept, stocked, and the food was excellent and fresh. Their food prep was much better than ours. Plus, they give discounts to Veteran’s, Fire, EMS, and Police. My son goes to college close by so we have a great go to restaurant that will get him filled up.

Ordered the buffet on a Saturday evening around 5 pm. Restaurant was not overly crowded and buffet was adequately filled. The waitress was a bit too attentive actually, she kept interrupting our conversation to ask if we needed anything.

If you at ate one of these in the 80s or 90s don’t worry this place has not changed at all. Very little choice for a buffet, the idea is order a main course and add on a buffet for a side. If you like meeting new people this place will have a new server every week or so.
