I hadn’t been to a Ponderosa in 20 years. The buffet was great. They also have a very good salad bar, as well as a large dessert bar.

Typical old school ponderosa. Food was ok. Service was amazing we had Danielle for a server , place was pretty clean just dated plenty of choices on the buffet . Desert was also a lot to choose from. Salad bar was good as well. They do have a ice cream machine I did not get ice though , did see a guy make himself a root beer float

We were on a family vacation for Columbus zoo, we hadn’t had a ponderosa in years sense they left Dayton. This was only 20 minutes from our hotel so we had to go. It was awesome and very missed in the Dayton area. Please bring one back!!! This place is great!!

When I was a child, Ponderosa was the go-to buffet. Sadly, the quality isn’t what I remember. The food was flavorless and dry. I walked through the buffet just trying to build a plate, but it was disappointing, and I just don’t think I will be back.

The first time ever eating here was recommended by a friend whose birthday was the day we ate here as she used to go with her father all the time when he was alive. Gotta say either thr childhood memories were too strong or just the experience of eating at better places in general but the food is super mid, really nothing special very below average and I won’t even consider the nutrition, the average price of the buffet is 14.99 plus drinks and the steak which this plus is called ponderosa steakhouse is extra! And you gotta request it. The customer service was great, honestly. Really enjoyed the staff. The atmosphere was nostalgic, really took me back to those old school buffets. I just wish it was cleaner and food looked and tasted more appetizing. All in all, I wouldn’t go back, but I’m glad I tried it once.

Great buffet the chicken and meatloaf are my favorite. The waitresses are very friendly and do a great job. We go there weekly . Hard to best value. M to f between 1pm and 4pm $10.99 buffet w/ free beverage. One our favorite places to eat!

The senior lunch buffet is the best deal anywhere I’ve tried. A lot of folks don’t have a lot of respect for the ponderosa, thinking it’s like the old days of bonanza, sizzler. York etc, but honestly this food is basic comfort food that they maintain fresh and consistent. I’m not sophisticated this is tasty fresh food and low prices!

I really feel the food is pretty tasty here for an older restaurant. …and the best part is: if you’re a Senior Citizen, and can get to the restaurant from 1:00 – 3:00, Mon. thru Fri., you won’t believe the fantastic deal. You can get everything for just $9.99 plus tax. This includes a full salad bar, the hot menu buffet (which includes: several meats and dishes) plus, a full dessert bar. Wow… and you also get a beverage of your choice included in that price. It’s unbelievable in this day and age that you can get all this for just $9,99. This package deal is far healthier, and even cheaper than a fast food restaurant is these days. By far, the best deal I’ve seen out there lately. The meat loaf, seasoned fries, and peanut butter pie (to name just a few) are to die for.

This was my first time back to this ponderosa since they opened up from COVID, and the food is just not really that good here, and they’ve raised the prices. It used to be that if you bought a dinner like steak or chicken, the buffet came with it. Now you have to pay like $6.50 to add the buffet. I don’t feel like it’s worth it.

I haven’t been to a Ponderosa since I was a child. Was down in the Grove City area while taking in the sights of Hocking Hills and noticed one of these places nearby. Had the top sirloin steak with baked potato and some cheesecake. All were excellent. If I’m in the area in the future I will definitely return.
