Cold food, slim variety for buffet. Nobody talked to us the whole time.. just checked our check for drinks. Not even saying “your welcome” while I’m trying to get food the lady is moving stuff to clean to one side. (Towards the end of dinner so not even closing time)
Pretty expensive. $$$$
Yucky!

Great food, great prices. The staff us really nice at least the ones working the day I was there.

Food selection was pretty solid especially for the $$ dessert to me is very good as well. Their wings are amazing too.

I had the buffet I didn’t order anything additional. $7.99 lunch special.

The variety is very BASIC. The wings seem to be the only thing worth a notable mention on the bar. I ordered the buffet and the pork chop which turned out to be boneless, and not evenly cooked. Lots of Senior’s frequent this place, and it seems to be comparable to the closed down Fire Mountain. It totally lacks ambience and obviously reflects the management style. I would suggest being a little more creative with the menu. Chicken and meatloaf were pretty much it in the meat department. Totally no variety. Make food desirable and enticing. Just because it’s cheap don’t mean it should lack quality. I wanted to ask for a refund, but didn’t want the stress.

Food was subpar at best. Service was excellent and the dining room was clean. The salad bar needed attention. Some items were wilted on the salad bar and many items were almost empty. The wings used to be very good but the were terrible. Several of the sauces had a film on the top which is not appetizing. The steak was okay, nothing great but the new shrimp were not good. Now we understand why there was a 40 minute wait at several area restaurants and you weren’t busy whatsoever. I hope this review is helpful to bring ponderosa back the was it used to be.

Great place for dining. They have a great selection in their buffet but it’s not all that great. Some of the selections seemed to be pre-made and it’s served in that fashion. The place is clean but they definitely need to do something with the fruit flies flying all around the jello and fresh cut fruit.

This was our first time back in about 15 years and I remembered why we stopped going there. None of the food had any flavor. None. It was like eating flour paste with different shapes and textures. Truly horrible. Our bill for 3 people was $50 for bad food. It was also freezing cold in the restaurant. I was wearing a sweater and had to put my coat on while I waited for my husband to finish eating. I will say there was a lot of terrible food a large variety of it on the buffet. But it was all bad.

The service was alright. Nothing stellar but we didn’t go without anything. The food needs lots of help. I don’t turn my nose up at steak but I didn’t even finish half of the 8 oz that I ordered. It was cooked fine but it simply didn’t taste good. I can’t even blame the kitchen. Lol!

Not the least bit clean, or sanitary. We dined during a slow afternoon and the food was like warm at best. Bathroom and behind the buffet looked equally revolting. To top it off this “family friendly” restaurant lacking a changing table. Needless to say we won’t be back, and unless things change quickly I foresee this location ending up like Fire Mountain down the road… Closed, and building for sale.

Was ok. The buffet was half empty, nothing on it at all, but what there was, was very good. A lot of good desert choices. The waitress that was here the night we went was amazing. Don’t remember her name, but she was from Dominican Republic. She worked her buns off to keep the place clean!

Been going here for years with my husband. There are a few good waitress’s who seem to check back with their customer’s often but to many times in the last couple of years we have experienced long wait times before a waitress would come over to our table to get our drinks. It is disturbing when we are sitting right near the drink area and on MANY occasions there will be between two and four waitress’s just BS…ing for long periods of time. We’ve had to go up front where you pay to have them send over are waitress. To many times there are no rolls out in the bar either. Waitress’s need to stop talking to each other so much and wait on their tables.
