Old world quality of cuisine and service which are not often seen these days. Everything was delicious and brought out quickly. That said, the noodles on the cannelloni were more al dente than desired, and lacked sauce inside. One big plus for my wife, and probably many others was the Gluten free options available! By the way, I flambéd my own tiramisu.

This is the best Italian restaurant around! Their lasagna is amazing! I got their Italian Sampler and it was a nice size portion and so good. They have quite a selection on their menu, always friendly staff, and the atmosphere is great! This is also one of the filming locations for the movie Rain Man. They have memorabilia hanging on their walls of when the Cast and Crew were there. It is a favorite for sure!

A so so experience, & not one that I’ll repeat any time soon, especially for the price – $25 for a minestrone soup, a lasagna & a lemonade.

First, the good – and it was great. This was our (four of us) first time eating here. Between us, we ordered one appetizer, two side salads, four dinner entrees, and one dessert. And the food was incredible! The wasn’t a single thing between us that wasn’t absolutely amazing! We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners, and would confidently recommend Pompilios based on the food. Now the bad. And that was the wait time for our meals. From the time we sat down (We ordered not long after being seated) until our entrees arrived at our table, a little over an hour had passed. There was at least one table (of two) seated after we were seated that finished their meals and left before we got our entrees. While the wait was ridiculously long, our server was gracious and apologized profusely about the wait. And in spite of the wait, we will return, because the food was that good! And the atmosphere is pretty damn good as well!

This place has been a Newport tradition for decades. While it’s definitely not the best Italian restaurant in the greater Cincinnati area, it’s worth a visit because it’s a fine neighborhood restaurant with a certain charm and bocce courts. We like to go for lunch and sit in the bar which is beautiful. Sandwiches are huge and tasty. The bread in the bread basket is so-so made much better by the whipped garlicky butter. This time we dined on the steak hoagie, which is like a large long burger, and the Italian sausage with peppers, onions, and provolone cheese. Not a huge fan of their hoagie rolls but the guts of the sandwich are delish. Their fries are seriously good – nice and crispy and seasoned with salt, pepper, parsley and Parmesan. Sandwiches are a good value – around $12 for a giant Sammie with fries. Definitely worth a visit.

Gewat food, our waitress was nice and attentive. The only thing wrong is there was no garlic or Italian bread, white bread was brought before the meal, so I didn’t think the meal was going to be good, but it was.

My only complaint is that they could have better bread. That’s it.,the place I s bomb..I love the olde fashion and several dishes…no matter how rich I get..I will always order plain butter noodles.

Pompilios was great! We went for a late lunch on a Saturday. Our server was excellent and the food was really delicious. We got the risotto balls (not pictured) and for an entrée I made my own dish and ordered the pappardella with bolognese meatsauce. My husband got the lasagna and thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely worth the trip from Columbus.

Great little Italian place! It also has a tavern in the front part. The main eating area has a nice Tuscan feel to it. Portions are large and the food is tasty. Rich savory tomato sauces, the tomato vodka sauce was also very good, we didn’t try the fettuccini sauce this time. Maybe next time! Within walking distance of the Levee section of town and worth it.

Recommended by the locals, we drove a good ways to sample fare from a restaurant that boasts being 95 years old.
