Take a step back in time in this old hotel. The food is up to date with delicious dishes and cocktails. The service was fantastic. They have a great bourbon list. My wife will not stop talking about the pot pie. Will be back!

Three Forks fine dining is what this place is all about. Very top-notch and exclusive. Our excellent server, Joseph, was all about stories of experience, travel and longevity. A truly fascinating individual, whose stories about his experiences only enhanced the exceptional cuisine here at the Sacajawea Hotel. He was very knowledgeable about the history, the chefs and folklore.
Every detail was addressed. Not a spoon out of place. Even the dinner bread came with three different spreads. We tasted the beet salad, the chips and caviar, the bison ribs, scallops and lamb rack. Everything was presented artfully and proudly.
As the place got busy, the service dwindled, but was extremely detailed non less.
There were details I had never seen before, like the illuminated menus and illuminated signature board for behind your final check. They even had some multi-packs of custom toothpicks.
An exceptional evening.

Me and my girlfriend had some New York steaks here and they were awesome. The tangy red sauce they had on it was really different and unique but full of flavor. The lobster soup was good but kinda a small quantity. I felt as if there wasn’t many choices on their menu but it all worked out ok. For 2 people be expected to spend well over $100 bare minimum. This place offers a great dining experience but I feel like their food is a bit overpriced. Only thing I did not care for was the potatoes that came with the steak , didn’t even come with butter. When I asked for butter I got handed some little packets of it like the ones you would see sitting at the table of ihop. Kinda thought that was lame.. spent $160 and couldn’t even get a heated dish of butter for my potatoes. It’s a minor detail but when you’re spending this much money at a restaurant in Montana for pete sake you kinda expect everything to be perfect, would you not? Oh well. I will be back again, I just figured I would share my 2 cents seems I rarely eat at fancy restaurants. The staff here was very nice, while i was waiting for my reservation as I got there 15 min early I asked the front desk lady if I could look around the hotel and she let me. Thought that was nice. I have a great passion for old hotels and buildings.. I used to work maintenance at the boulder hotsprings hotel built in 1910, very similar interior wise. Beautiful hotel you guys have.

My fiancé & I got to experience Pompey’s Grill for the first time for our anniversary and let me just say we were NOT disappointed!
Pompey’s offers a simple, yet luxurious atmosphere.
It’s a delightful space, perfect for a fancy date night or a small company gathering!
The FOOD was IN…CREDIBLE.
Everything we ordered was cooked to absolute perfection! I got the Bison Short Ribs & my fiancé ordered the Lamb Rack.
Every member of the staff that we worked with was excellent -friendly, accommodating and menu educated!
We will most definitely be back!

kind, attentive staff and delicious food! servings are the perfect size (with bread and an appetizer, it was just the right amount).
there is a rotating vegetarian/vegan option on the menu, though i do wish there were more.

This used to be one of my go to places but not any more after my experience on 9/1. My server looked and acted as though she would have rather been having a root canal than waiting on people, the price of food went WAY up and they got rid of all their good steak sauces, a side of fries was $10 (picture). And my dinner came out before my drink. I was, you know, hoping to sip my drink some time in the 30 minutes between when I ordered it and when my food came. And dinner was just ‘ok’. Nothing remotely unique or incredible about it. If you’re going to charge outrageous prices, the quality all around needs to be better- but I had better service at the McDonald’s in Dillon earlier that day

We had the best dinner at Pompey’s Grill with friends and family! Can’t recommend this place enough! The food was absolute perfection, the service was immaculate, and the memories were many. We had the short rib and the cajun pasta! The short rib was the best short rib I’ve had and pasta was 10 out of 10 as well! Such fun memories at this place! Great for family or business or parties!

This was my favorite dining experience from my week long trip to Bozeman (and surrounding area). We arrived a little before they opened but were accommodated by the host anyways. The decor was classic and beautiful, the service from Theodore was great, and the food was prepared amazingly. I ordered a side salad, the Bison Short-rib Half Rack, and the toffee dessert option. All were excellent. The ribs were tender and trimmed nicely, the dessert was rich and satisfying. Everything was a great value as well. Definitely recommend anyone traveling in the Three Forks area to stop by and see the beautiful historic Sacajawea Hotel and stop in at Pompey’s Grill for a dinner that won’t disappoint!

While staying at the Sacajawea Hotel, we had dinner at Pompey’s Grill and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We ordered the beef tenderloin with prickly pear champagne demi-glase & foie gras butter, asparagus, butternut squash and potatoes which was one of the two specials for the evening. Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavors were amazing. We hadn’t left the room for dessert at that moment, so we took our coconut cream pie back to the room while letting dinner settle. The pie was absolutely delicious and has to be the best coconut cream pie that I’ve ever had. Looking forward to our next visit.
