Excellent service and attentive staff. Food quality was okay, needed more seasoning. A bit overpriced for the quality. Nice ambiance, reminded a smidge of Italy.

The food was good and the restaurant has great atmosphere. Service was spot on and everyone in our party left happy and full. Well established restaurant and it’s very clean. They have lots of room for big parties.

The lasagna was good, some hard noodle parts on the crust, it’s more noodle than sauce, but the meat sauce is so good, I still enjoyed it. Also got the pasta de la casa with crispy chicken, small, It was good too. Got the meatballs, they were so good I forgot to take a picture and garlic bread, they made the meal!! I want to come again to try more.

Great service and atmosphere. I ordered the smoked trout which was delicious. The fish was not overcooked and the sauce was just right, not too heavy, to compliment the fish.
We enjoyed the live music.

I think the food here is good and we go back a few times a year. I tried something new this time, angel hair pasta with tomato and garlic. It was pretty good. Our waitress was fantastic.

If you find yourself on the eastern side of San Antonio Pompeii might be of interest to you if you’re in the mood for Italian. If you’re looking for a spot to have a private party this is definitely the place. They have two huge private party rooms that I noticed will accommodate at least 40 people. The main dining room is also huge. The wine selection is plentiful and their menu has a variety of dishes to choose from.
This will definitely be better than any national Italian food chain you could visit, but it is a bit pricy.
The fetichini Alfredo alone is $17 and with chicken that’s an additional $10; however the portions are sizable enough for two meals.
If you happen to get Susie for your server, consider yourself blessed. She is an absolute professional and quite possibly one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She handled our party of 20 with ease and her organizational skills were like nothing I’ve seen before…truly superior service by Susie!

We’ve been wanting to try this place out since we always see the parking lot full. Our server was great but The food was okay it was just way over priced. The bread they serve was nothing special. I ordered the lemon butter sauce shrimp pasta but the sauce was lacking lemon. The kids macaroni was different with white sauce that was pretty good. My husband had chicken parmigiana and some meatballs. I tried a piece of the meatballs to me it was too soft and the flavor kinda tasted like my kids spaghetti and meatballs from a can. For two adults, a teen and 2 kids we paid over $140. My husband said Olive Garden would have been way better and cheaper. But like I told him you won’t know unless you try it yourself!

I didn’t want to go here, bc I am biased towards my favorite Italian restaurant, but my mother-in-law’s birthday dictated otherwise. She’s 75, so I acquiesced.
First and foremost, the atmosphere is a gimmick at best, hope you enjoy it, bc that’s what you are paying for, an outdated rendition of the old country, the irony. The restuarant seems tired, and kinda depressing, almost a mockery.
The food is completely over-priced for the quality, before I even review; I will not go back, even if they had a customer appreciation “free day.” It’s not that bad if you are used to terrible food. Just so many superior choices for Italian cuisine. The bread was probably the best part, although the olive oil was low quality. The mussels were edible, small portion for the price. My pizza sucked, and that’s generous. The crust was lacking in every possible way, the toppings were, just cheap toppings, the chesse was not quality, add to that, there was not enough of it. Completely disappointing for an 8-10 inch pizza for $17.55, extremely over-priced. My wife lasagna was lacking, too salty, I think Stoffer’s as bad as it is, might be better. I didn’t taste anyone else’s food, but nothing looked worth asking for a bite.
Prices are up everywhere and there are much better quality selections to spend your hard earned money.

I’ve only been twice. Food was delicious both times. The service was off on my 2nd visit. I don’t judge too much because no one is perfect. The order was wrong for someone at our table. The server was slow every step of the way. But I would still go back it is delicious and enjoyable.
