My wife and I literally can’t wait until we make our way up to Pomodoro. We’ve dined in and gotten take out now approximately 40+ times in the 3 years since first discovering this gem. The gnocchi Bolognese with 2 meatballs is all I’ve ever ordered for myself and what I will order for the remainder of the time they remain open. They’ve added incredible outdoor seating in the last year or so and can accommodate so many more patrons. They are byob and have the most delicious garlic bread. The house pomodoro sauce is to absolutely die for. I always say I’m going to save half my plate to take home but it’s impossible for me not to enjoy every last bite.

If you’re looking for a classic Italian spot that does everything right, Pomodoro Italian Kitchen is it.
The food is consistently excellent, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. From the pasta to the seafood to the desserts, everything tastes homemade and thoughtfully prepared. Portions are generous without feeling overdone.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff truly makes the experience. Friendly, attentive, and professional without being rushed. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests.
BYOB is a huge plus, and it just adds to the relaxed, neighborhood feel. Whether it’s a casual night out, a family dinner, or a special occasion, Pomodoro never disappoints.
Highly recommend one of those places you keep coming back to.

My first and last time there. The food tasted mediocre at best, it tasted frozen and not fresh. The dining room was a tent and we were freezing.. so we ended up taking the food to go. BYOB is nice but they charge a fee for opening the bottle for you. Much better Italian restaurants in the area, this place is massively overrated.

This place excels in the tricky combination of staff, space and food. All are first rate. No need to go to Federal Hill., Continues to exceed our expectations.
Started with the pear, arugula, walnut, gorgonzola salad. Dressed with a champagne vinaigrette. Bursting with freshness.
I had scallops in a wine, lemon, butter sauce. The scallops were firm and delicious and the sauce was spectacular. The symphony of flavors is remarkable
My wife ordered the Italian Feast. Sample plate of chicken and eggplant Parmesan, a giant meatball, rigatoni, and their own Pomodoro sauce. And about that sauce. I worked in the Italian community in Providence for over 20 years and sampled a lot of red sauces; Homemade and commercially produced. This is perhaps the best red sauce I have ever tasted.
They have a great dessert menu, but we absolutely could not think about any more food.
They’ve expanded their outside seating. The space is wonderful. The lighting is perfect and the room is very cozy.
Our server was authentic, attentive and very personable.
So avoid the traffic, the stress, the lousy parking. Pomodoro’s is a true 5 star dining experience.

I took my 16 son here with a gift card I had gotten from work. Literally the best tasting pasta either of us has ever had, huge portions, our waitress Jessica was fantastic. We even had some pumpkin cheesecake to top it off, once again never had better the cheesecake was so good and the crust (usually an afterthought) was amazing. If I could give me stars believe me I would.

I placed an order through door dash. When it arrived one of the dishes was not what was ordered. What they sent me I can’t eat do to diet restrictions I am also diabetic and have to eat at rscheduled times. I called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake. My order said the correct meal as well as the sale slip that came with it. Somebody either made the wrong meal or the bagger made the mistake. I called them and a young woman answered and could not do anything about it so I asked to speak to the manager. Well there was not one on duty. It took being placed on hold several lengthy times. I finally was given a number for doordash. They could not refund my money for some reason and told me to reorder which means paying for it again. As I said I’ve to eat on time and my original order arrived on time. Having to go through all this I will now get my meal around 7 which is 2 hours later than my original order and my blood sugar is dropping. I will have to take glucose to stop it getting worse. Thanks a lot Pomodoro.

We ordered all of the dinner fare for our wedding of around 120 guests from Pomodoro’s through their catering service. The entire process was very smooth – placing the order was easy, pickup was seamless, and they called to confirm our order about a week before the event. The food was fantastic even in these larger catering quantities. One thing to keep in mind is that you can only place an order a maximum of 3-4 weeks in advance, which felt stressful to have un-finalized for a wedding which has most vendors finalized a year in advance. But we called several times leading up to the wedding and they confirmed catering a large order would be no problem. We had a few guests who were lactose intolerant and we ordered the eggplant lasagna with no cheese, which was still tasty. One other note: catering orders cannot be mixed with their usual menu so everything must be ordered in large quantities of half trays or full trays. For the few lactose intolerant guests, smaller portions would have been ideal but everything was still eaten! Overall, we would recommend Pomodoro’s catering for any event!

The food was delicious from the appetizer to meal. The atmosphere was nice. We will definitely go back but the service was not good. We ordered Sunday gravy with linguine and bolegnese with rigatoni 2 sausage and 2 shrimp. She brought out the wrong meal then sent another waitress over and said let me clarify your order we are a little confused I said what is there to be confused about, I repeated our order. Then my husband’s meal came out first and I had to wait for mine. She never came over and asked us how are meal was. And I new party sat across from us and waited 10 minutes before she even greeted them. We will go back but I hope the service is better next time.
