For our first time we can say…
Absolutely superb in every aspect!
Our server Chris absolutely offered extraordinary service on all levels. His knowledge and detailed descriptions of food, the appropriate attentiveness, and attention to detail was completely spectacular.
The overall environment with its classy decor and ambiance combined with total cleanliness is very appreciated.
The food is where you truly fall in love with the restaurant though. The handmade pasta and traditional Italian recipes made by a husband and wife from Italy are samples of heaven. The tantalizing flavors, texture, temperature, presentation, quality were all perfect in every bite.
We have already planned our next visit and will as many times as possible. Hopefully we will be a little more subtle with our moans and groans of delight as we savor each item with pleasure.
Side note: they offer some gluten free options, however as someone who avoids gluten and dairy and went all in with this dinner…I had no immediate reactions like I normally would.
Also, suggestion…
never ask for Fettuccine Alfredo at a place like this… this is a place to experience real homemade Italian food the way they eat.

From the moment we walked in through our appetizer salad main course and dessert it was phenomenal..
Lorenzo and his staff were very knowledgeable and we didn’t feel rushed in any way . Our food was at the correct temperature delivered appropriately and tasted wonderful.
We will definitely return to this establishment again.

Italian restaurant with so-so food, but good service. They have a nice wine list that compliments the food. However, the salad was not good as it was filled with cabbage. The chicken cacciatore was on the bone with lots of fat. The sauce was overwhelming the dish. The Polpo Lucianna was cooked nicely and not tough but again the same sauce overwhelmed the dish on the pasta.

Saturday was our first time dining at Pomodoro Italian Grill & Seafood and it won’t be our last! We were greeted by a gentleman that opened the door for us! (We later found out he is a co-owner! That was a very nice touch and (with his wife; Chef Viola) I knew then that I had chosen a great place!!) Everything was excellent; we were treated like ‘royalty’; even though this was our first time! Michael; our server was attentive & helpful! Our wine was the perfect compliment to our Caesar salads, my Lobster Ravioli and my husband’s Linguine & Clams! Chef Viola even added some red sauce to his clams; as he prefers Red sauce. Oh, and the pre-entree bread was spectacular too! It was so easy to make the reservation earlier in the day by Open Table and we were seated before our reservation time. We are new to Cave Creek from Green Bay, Wisconsin and we will definitely be back!! Thank for a memorable first time!!

Nice clean place, easy to find & park. Loved the ambiance & good service. And the mountain view from inside was phenomenal.
The menu for our visit was a different special menu for Valentine’s Day, so it’s not gonna be there.
Appetizers were delicious, the main course was not as expected, in comparing to the Appetizer. The dessert was disappointing, Italian restaurant, for sure I’d go for Tiramisu, it taste sweet but it’s not Tiramisu. The overall was good & will repeat to explore more into their regular menu.

I was invited to join a friend at Pomodoro in Cave Creek to work on a menu for a special event. Given I hadn’t eaten earlier, we decided to enjoy a variety of different dishes.
We tried so many different things, so here are a few of my favorites.
Cozze e Vongole. Ask for extra bread because the soup (sauce) at the bottom of the dish is worth dipping into once you’ve savored the mussels and clams.
Frittura di Mare. This had a little of everything but since I was missing my home made baccalá (deep fried cod), I couldn’t wait to try this and wanted more. Everything was perfectly crispy, not greasy and certainly delicious.
Polpo alla Griglia. I’ve tried this at other restaurants and it has come out a little too charred and almost bitter. This I must say was cooked perfectly so that as you took each bite, it simply melted in your mouth.
Ravioli Porcini e Salsiccia. This was my highlight of the evening. The ravioli were fresh and the stuffing of braised beef bursting with flavor. The porcini and sausage blended perfectly for flavor and definitely made you desire that next bite. But what really made this dish exquisite was the black truffle cream sauce. OMG!!
I had to slow down and truly savor each bite and morsel so I could enjoy this for as long as I could. Definitely the highlight of the evening and days later the memory is still there.
I recommend Pomodoro for anyone wanting to try authentic Italian dishes.
Federico and Chef Viola truly put a lot of effort into each dish and they always strive for the best.
I AM going back!

HELLO POMODORO ITALIAN GRILL & SEAFOOD IN CAVE CREEK, AZ! Wait….what?? One of the top Italian restaurants in the country is in my back yard? Not literally…but very close!! We just moved to Cave Creek and have enjoyed all of the many AMAZING restaurants. We just saw on the news that this place is one of the best Italian places in the country. TIS TRUE!!! MY MOUTH HAS NOT STOPPED WATERING SINCE WE WALKED IN THE DOOR THIS EVENING!! I don’t know how to describe what my taste buds were experiencing! It truly was the best Italian food we have ever had! We started out with THE BEST BREAD ON THE PLANET! It was warm and baked just right. I think we inhaled it and they kept it coming out. It had a fabulous dipping oil. For dinner I had the chicken parmesan which was so delicious and could have fed an army. The sauce was incredible and the noodles melted in my mouth. My husband had Pansini ravioli which he never looked up from! His platter was also enormous! Our son had lobster ravioli which we all sampled and it was phenomenal! Everyone had Caesar salad that was mouth watering. Dinner was ABSOLUTELY BEYOND INCREDIBLE! THE ATMOSPHERE WAS SO PERFECT..AS IF WE WERE BACK IN ITALY!!! The bar is spectacular!! When we walked in there were several couples sitting at the bar having a great time. OUR SERVER, JOSE M WAS ALSO PERFECT! He gave great recommendations and took excellent care of us! Even his side kick assistant was great. He kept our water full and brought out more bread. It must be a prerequisite for everyone to be amazing and the food to be to die for BECAUSE IT WAS! I am so happy to live just down the road to this amazing find!! We will be regulars FOR SURE! I hear the owners/chefs moved here from Italy in 2018…what a blessing it is to have them! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD, SAUCE I HAVE EVER TASTED!! WOWZA! ❤️

Great service. We were lucky to get the blue fin tuna specials. Well prepared and delicious. I had the mushroom fettuccine and deconstructed Ceasar salad. Both delicious. Tarimisu was light and one of the best I’ve had. Owner sat down for a chat and is clearly proud if his restaurant. Definitely recommend if you are out for Italian.

This was my first time at Pomodoro. Three of us were out to have a nice dinner. We chose to sit near the bar, in a half booth half table. The server was a younger gentleman who was attentive and helpful.
We had the Cesar salad to start, it was deconstructed with just the right amount of dressing and croutons. We chose a bottle of white wine to have with the meal. Then as entrees I had the special sea bass, it was delicious. For dessert we enjoyed the tiramisu which was delightful. The home made limoncello was just what we needed to end a perfect dinner.

My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner on Saturday night. The hosts were accommodating to get us a table and the waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was delicious. Things went downhill from there. We ordered a zucchini appetizer, stuffed with goat cheese in a sauce. I was shocked when it arrived. We received THREE small pieces of stuffed zucchini. For $19! Next we shared a Caesar salad which was good. Then our entrees came out.. I ordered a risotto dish with scallops that was recommended by the waitress. It arrived as a plate of lukewarm, dry, bland risotto with TWO scallops. The scallops were cut in half to appear as 4. I tried to smile and eat it but the scallops were over cooked and rubbery and I just could not get the risotto down. This entree was priced at $39. My husband ordered the short rib with ravioli and was equally disappointed. They mixed beef gravy or broth with the marinara sauce which was an odd combination and the short rib was all fat. The ravioli were rubbery. He could barely eat it and it also was a $40 dish. We don’t mind paying good money for good food but i honestly felt completely taken advantage of at this place. Like it was some kind of joke to see how stupid people can be and how much they can get away with. If you do your research before going here you will find review after review with similar complaints. Im convinced any good reviews are friends, family, staff, or paid for. The staff was friendly and the service was good. The manager or owner was kind enough to take the scallop dish off our bill. We left hungry and very disappointed. Extremely overpriced for the quality and value. If you like throwing your money away, eat here.
