Calamari was incredibly salty but we were so hungry we ate it anyway. Vodka lasagna and linguini with clams and mussels were very good. Star of the meal was the creme brûlée which was great and not too sweet. Would come back for food and drinks but not for the service.
Another highlight is their Wednesday wine promotion—definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a midweek treat. It’s a great way to enjoy quality wine at a very attractive price.
Overall, a solid spot with great food, good vibes, and thoughtful specials that keep you coming back.
That said, the food was just average and felt a bit overpriced for what we got (around $100 for one appetizer, one salad, and one pizza). To be fair, we might’ve just ordered the wrong things.
We started with the special garlic “not,” a large, knotted bread served golden and blistered, dusted with parmesan and flecks of thyme. It looked impressive, but it was a little too oily for our taste. The farmhouse salad was colorful, with lots of components—chicory greens, pickled red onions, roquefort blue cheese, cucumber, tomato confit—but the flavors didn’t quite come together. You end up tasting each element separately, mostly the bitterness and salt.
The upside-down Sicilian pizza was a thick, square pie with a rich tomato sauce layered over mozzarella. It wasn’t bad, but we just personally prefer the lighter, crispier Neapolitan style.
Still, this could be a great spot for a casual Friday night hang with friends or family. Just make sure to find the dishes that really shine on the menu.
Everything was excellently made and the black truffle pizza in particular was stunning.
My brother has lived in Northern Italy for over ten years and the pizza here is right up there with my favorite spots in Italy.
Probably the best experience though was the staff – so friendly and helpful. You guys made my day
Her recommendations were spot-on, she checked in without ever being overbearing, and she made sure we had everything we needed the whole time.
If you go, definitely hope you get her — she made our first time there great.
1- the food is delicious! My friends and I all had excellent food. I have a gluten allergy and our server was very knowledgeable about what was safe for me to eat and to avoid cross contamination. The GF pizza was outstanding, and the roasted carrots were my favorite bite.
2- The server was the ultimate highlight. We brought our friend here for her first time back out into the world after losing a family member, and our server was the kindest, most compassionate and patient person. It was meant to be that we landed in the same space as her. She hugged us, made our friend feel validated and seen, and made us feel right at home through some tears and emotional moments. This woman was an angel and we will never forget her exemplary compassion. Makes me want to drive back to Eastchester from Boston just to be able to give her another tip!
