Food was fantastic! Maybe the best weekend brunch I’ve had in the Pensacola area. I had the Toad in a hole, and all I can say is wow! Was shocked at how good it was. Salad was a great touch. Wifey got the creole Benny, and the sausage was great plus it has a fried green tomatoe on it! I also have to say, the server was just really great. Super friendly, easy to talk to, very attentive, and had some great suggestions on the menu. I’m sure they are all great but ask for Becky.

The Polenza restaurant was introduced to me by a friend and I’ve visited a couple of times now. The service is usually great and the food is good too. I usually order breakfast and I’m never disappointed with the quality of the food. If you’re looking for some good quality breakfast food- add this restaurant to your repertoire.

Let’s start with the positives, this cocktail program is on point from imagination to creation. In addition to the flavor bombs that every glass encompasses the drinks are brunchy in a thematic way.
To be scathingly nitpicky on the food, there were a few minor issues. The fries needed 2 to 3 more minutes in the fryer. A loaded fry needs to be crispier than a stand alone fry as it is doused with pimento cheese and sour cream. This caused the fries to eat a touch soggy lacking the toothsome bite desired. The smoked salmon tasted amazing but from an eating perspective needed to be cut on a bias for the consumer to easily assemble. The dish presented less than generous because there was a scant amount of crostini on the plate, which presumably would be the cheapest ingredient. Again this is picking at solid dishes that just miss hitting that next level.
This establishment is 100% a five for the cocktails alone, highly recommend.

From the first bite of the country fried steak, I knew this place was something special. The crispy, golden breading gave way to tender, flavorful steak, and the creamy gravy was simply divine – the perfect comforting classic. But the French toast? Absolutely sublime. Thick slices of bread, soaked just right and griddled to a perfect golden brown, were fluffy on the inside and boasted a hint of sweetness that made my taste buds sing. Each bite was a delightful indulgence, making it hard to decide which dish I loved more. The quality of the food here truly shines.
Beyond the fantastic food, the service was genuinely amazing. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Our server was prompt, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Their warm smiles and efficient service truly enhanced the entire dining experience, making us feel welcomed and valued. Finally, the location is fantastic. Situated in a great part of the city, it was easy to find and offered a pleasant atmosphere. I can’t wait to visit again!

Stopped by for a VERY late lunch due to a recommendation by a local. We ordered the Toad in the Hole and the home made Chicken salad and they were both delicious. Not heavy on the stomach and exactly what we needed for something light to eat. Staff was super helpful and very nice.
Whatever you do, order the chicken salad!!!

A pleasantly cozy brunch spot, good for smaller groups. We visited on Mother’s Day and the efficiency of our server Thomas was admirable. My “Toad in the Hole” (fried egg on sourdough with arugula) might’ve been messy to eat, but it was very savory and my partner loved his sunrise burger- commenting on the quality of the croissant. The fries were FRESH. Thomas had an eagle eye on our water cup levels, we were impressed he noticed with how many guests he was attending to. The noise level is something to be wary of if dining with hearing-aid wearing loved ones; I overheard a couple saying it was very hard to hear with all the bustling. A week day might be better. The warmly lit restroom was surprisingly clean even with the rush. Sitting near the entrance on a busy day can be overwhelming as guests are constantly in line to wait, peering down at you finishing your latte. I would also recommend asking for a honey or lavender flavor if you order the latte, I found it quite plain. Amazing location, especially if it’s a nice day, bring your furry friend and enjoy the outdoor seating they have.

The waiter recommended I try the Buddha bowl, so I did get one with bacon. Great breakfast choice, well balanced with nutrition and flavor. The homemade espresso made here are good as well. Will definitely return.
