I’ve been shopping here for a while and I’ve always enjoyed the food. Everything used to be fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. However, lately I’ve noticed a decline in quality. I’m not sure if there has been a change in cooks, but the meat has been undercooked on a few occasions, and the mashed potatoes have been overly salty. The overall taste and consistency just haven’t been the same as before. I really hope this is just temporary because I truly used to love ordering from here. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that the quality goes back to what it used to be.

The best polish food in Clifton, if not NJ. They make a beautiful fried sea bass that is scrumptious. Same for their chicken cutlets and perogies which are made fresh daily. They make a bunch of other prepared specialties and have the usual dried sausage, luncheon and bacon meats at the counter. They also have great sweets.
The fresh prepared food is at the back of the store and is one of the best in Clifton, Passaic County and I think the best in Jersey. I’ve tried most of the Polish food stores in the area. Additionally, the staff are the friendliest and are patient with people who don’t know what each item is.
The store is in the back (on the left) of the Botany Village Historic District Square located at 10 Village Square E, Clifton, NJ 07011

It was my second visit. I am Polish but do not speak the language. I wasn’t sure which kielbasa to buy. The young lady behind the counter asked me how I was preparing it in order to make the proper suggestion. She was so helpful! I snuck a few cold pieces to sample. It’s AMAZING cold! The pickle soup is to die for also. I should have gotten a large. I asked her about these pastries just kissed all over with coconut. I haven’t tried them yet. They smell wonderful! I can’t wait to try.
UPDATE… the pastries were heavenly!! I will be returning for more food for sure.

There’s fish, chicken, mashed potatoes and the salad.
This is a nice place. I miss the food.
I want to say this place was the first Polish place my mom bought from.
There were days where we were just eating canned processed food for a while. She would get the fish and chicken with the mash potatoes.
Along with other things when she could. I do recommend this little store. I miss the food, I have never eaten it like they made it.

My favorite Polish deli on the East Coast! Polmart deli has everything I was looking for, and their homemade food reminded me of my grandmother’s. Try the homemade dinners and soups – so much food and so affordable. They also have a large selection of deli meats and kielbasa. The staff was really friendly and helped me find the specific items I was looking for. And don’t forget the fresh breads and pastries. The homemade cakes are delicious – try the Polish style cheesecake and the apple cake.

Never knew about Polmart! Met the owner at their sister location in Garfield where we use to shop. She was kind enough to let us follow her to Botany Village (what customer service). And I was not disappointed at all…bright, great selection and pierogi reminiscent of my dads. I’m hooked! Not around the corner for me but definitely worth the trip. The best I’ve had and I’ll be back to try some of the prepared foods.

I was never familiar with polish food but oh my god everything here is absolutely incredible. I’ve traveled from NYC just to get some dinner from Polmart.
Everything is super fresh, the pierogi is to die for, and the staff is very helpful. Not only this but, everything is very well priced. The new store is a testament to how much these people put into what they do every day.
Hidden gem in Clifton!

The best Polish deli around. The hot food is great! The Polish staff is great but the Ukranian girls are just full of nasty attitudes and dont want to do anything. Seems a little understaffed for such a big store. Wish they had a Spanish speaking person who would have made it easier for Spanish people to understand what things are. But definitely a store I’ll be shopping at again

We bought 5 dozen potato and cheese perogie’s cooked for Christmas dinner and they tasted like they had vinegar in them. We buy them there every year going back to when they were located on Parker Ave. We traveled 40 minutes one way to get them and to have the store manager respond “ I don’t know what to tell you, We didn’t have any other complaints?”
Is just not right!
I really hated to do this but it kind of ruined our Christmas dinner and was embarrassing for us!
