Country playing in the background?
Delicious diner-style American cuisine?
Cute decor reminiscent of a small, sleepy surf town?

Am I the new protagonist in a Hallmark film?

Yes! (Not really sshh.) And I’ve only got 30 days to save the local something or other before a greedy developer comes in to make everything into a parking lot!

Anywho, food was great. Prices are comparable to a simpler time in history when the world hadn’t quite gone so topsy turvey. I’ll be back.

I ordered and prepaid for 2 egg custard pies. Next day I arrived at the time they said they would be ready. Mgr told me they were still warm.
When they cooled, the boxes felt soggy and they looked sunken. I cut into one and the custard is broken, not firm, and falling off the fork. The pie crust is soggy and wet on the bottom. It is inedible. And they charged me almost $37 for this sloppy mess. Very disappointing as I live far away and can’t go back and show them what I have to throw out.

Beware! We recently had a frightening experience at Polly’s. My wife found shards of glass in the pie we ordered for her birthday. She managed to spit out a few pieces and had a burning sensation in her throat for several days. Thankfully, our three-year-old didn’t have any before we discovered the glass. Polly’s didn’t seem overly concerned about the incident. We received a refund for the pie and had to fill out an incident report. I would appreciate it if they could offer us something to compensate us for this frightening experience, ruined birthday celebration and encourage us to become repeat customers again.

Kyle’s review of Miriam:
If you ever find yourself at Polly’s Pies in Huntington Beach, do yourself a favor and pray you land in Miriam’s section. I’m convinced she’s not just a server — she’s part magician, part mind-reader, and part hospitality superhero.

From the moment she walked up to the table, the energy shifted. She greeted us like she was genuinely happy we were there (a rare talent these days), and somehow managed to be warm, funny, attentive, and lightning-fast all at once. Drinks stayed full without us even noticing she refilled them. Special requests? She remembered every single one without writing anything down — and nailed them.

What really sets Miriam apart is her presence. She has that natural gift where she makes you feel like you’re her only table even when she’s clearly running the entire dining room with grace and zero stress. She checks in at exactly the right moments, never intrusive, always helpful, always upbeat. And the recommendations? Spot on. She convinced us to try a dessert we weren’t planning on ordering… and now we’re planning our next trip around it.

It’s no exaggeration to say that Miriam elevates the whole Polly’s Pies experience. Great food becomes extraordinary when you pair it with service like hers. If management is reading this: whatever you’re doing to keep her, keep doing it. And if you’re a guest: request Miriam. Seriously. Your day will be better for it.

Five stars isn’t enough — she deserves her own category.

Actually liked this Polly’s and we have enjoyed the Wednesday bingo games, however this past Wednesday Feb 18th was very disappointing at seating. We arrive over an hour early so we can get seated and eat prior to bingo. You kept everyone waiting to be seated all at the same time, this caused backed up and slower service for the servers and cooks then got back up, also you didn’t allow us to request seating said have to sit all together, you caused a back up therefore my friends didn’t even order dinner due to ordering was too close to the game. Need more help on Wednesdays and better organization. Bread is showing for sale, then you stated not for sale don’t have enough, why aren’t you anticipating.

We ate there at 2:30 pm on a Tuesday, It wasn’t busy, and it was well before the dinner rush. The floors had a lot of scattered food particles throughout the front seating area. We left an hour later and manager still had not taken care of cleaning up the place. Otherwise, nice decor, and very friendly and capable staff. The food is tasty, well portioned and there are always seasonal offerings and pie. During peak breakfast hrs it may take quite a while to get a seat. In that case we go to Woody’s. We never have to wait there. Staffing may be the factor.

Great atmosphere and great food! The cinnamon rolls are standouts, but the pancakes were delicious too.

I love this place I’ve been going to Polly’s since I was younger so years some things are different like with everything though it’s still very delicious and has plenty of food to choose between and if you have a sweet tooth you can’t imagine what you have to choose from in that delicious desert category is unbelievable and yummy. Polly’s is a great restaurant.

The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. The restaurant is clean and bright, the patio is clean and well shaded. The menu has a variety of options to fit anyone’s desires and the kids menu is better than the kids menu at most other places.

Polly’s is always a great go-to for good ol’ nostalgic comfort food. They know how to do it right. Got there at the right time to enjoy the 3 for $15 deal with a smaller selection of a starter, entree, and slice of pie for $15. I had their meatloaf, delicious. The portion was a perfect size as well. We enjoyed their new patio with our dog and the staff was accommodating and prepared when we asked for a water bowl. All in all, our group enjoyed the food and our puppy really loved the plain hamburger patty treat!
