I ordered the half chicken meal to-go and it was more than enough food for my wife and I. The chicken was nice and moist, not dry at all. Beans were delicious and rice a little bland, nothing a little salsa can’t fix. Besides the great food, the staff were very friendly. We’ll be back again for sure.

Thought we’d try you out and it wasnt busy . I got the chicken taco and carne asada taco . The tacos were generously filled with meat and cabbage . We are also given sauces to try . The chicken and beef were seasoned well and tender . Thanks for the great meal

You’ve got to do yourself a favor and come try this place out. The food is amazing, I didn’t know chicken could be this good! We got it home and planned to sit down to eat and watch a movie but couldn’t help but just stand at the counter and eat the whole thing!

If you never had a foodgasm you need to eat here at 12 noon because at closing the food was delicious but that noon meal got upgraded from a quarter chicken meal to a half chicken meal with extra rice and beans because it’s gonna be dinner too. So back to my soul leaving my body this food was definitely made with love not just the love of cooking but the love of catering to others. Yesterday I came at closing and I’m not sure if that’s the manager or owner that made my meal. She was so kind so understanding so generous when it came to my wants and needs of the food. She was very patient with me because she speak Spanish and I speak English, but this Mexican establishment will always get my business. I’ve been wanting a home-cooked meal for a long time and this restaurant is it so if you down for Mexican food, I strongly recommend this establishment. I am grateful that the client that I take care of and her family recommended this restaurant.

Avoid This Place at All Costs!

If you value your health and your money, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this restaurant. They specialize in grilled chicken, but based on what I was served, they have no business doing so.

I paid $18.50 for a meal that consisted of a chicken leg and thigh with rice, beans, and some cold, sautéed onions and green chile. The salsa was not spicy at all. It looked liked they put a tomato and water in the blender and called it a salsa. The chicken was undercooked, reheated, not tender, and had a terrible smell—a clear sign that it was not fresh or properly prepared. To make matters worse, the meal came with only two tortillas, which felt like a joke considering the price.

Customer service? Terrible. No care, no effort, and no regard for the quality of the food being served. The only halfway decent thing on the plate was the beans, the atmosphere was nice and the place looked clean but even that wasn’t enough to make up for the disaster of a meal.

I will never be coming back, and my message to the owner is simple: Would you eat this? If the answer is no, then why are you serving it to paying customers at an outrageous price? Think about the food you’re putting out before expecting people to spend their hard-earned money on it.

Save yourself the disappointment (or worse, food poisoning) and eat somewhere else.

The chicken from Pollos el Rey is delicious! The chicken is tender and flavorful. I would recommend the whole chicken once you start eating it you really have to stop yourself from finishing it in one sitting. I’ve always had fantastic service from the staff as well, they are very friendly.

We dined in the restaurant tonight. Everything was clean, and organized. Staff was so friendly and helpful. We ordered a full chicken meal and sides and tortillas. Everything was delicious. The pico and homemade tortillas were truly the icing on the cake. The chicken had great flavor, super juicy, and was perfectly portioned for our family of 4. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for bringing such a great restaurant to the Tri!
