I usually eat here, which makes this even more frustrating. We ordered take-out and clearly asked for medium meat and chicharrón “gordito, no duro.”
What we received was burned, extremely hard, and inedible. The meat was like a shoe sole, and the chicharrón was rock-hard, impossible to eat and even hard to cut. This was not “medium” by any definition.
Honestly, this was so poorly prepared that it made me angry and even felt offensive, especially after being clear about how it should be cooked. I couldn’t eat the food at all. For the price, this was really disappointing.

I want to give credit where it’s due. The restaurant contacted me via Instagram after my review, apologized, and offered a new bandeja whenever I’d like. I truly appreciate the gesture and the fact that they took the feedback seriously. Everyone can have an off day, and how a business responds matters. I’m glad they reached out and I’ll be giving them another try.

On a recent visit to Pollos El Paisa, a fine time was had by the whole party.
Our server was polite and accommodating. The food was ready quickly and was cooked accordingly. The parking can be a little tricky though but street parking is available.

The food here is very delicious despite the prices going up. I also thought entrees came with salad but I guess they changed that. I will just say if you are coming here to celebrate a birthday or anything else; maybe choose a different spot because they do not care. My friends sung happy birthday and we were shushed by a table next to us filled by white people.

If I’m correct this is a family owned Colombian restaurant and it feels like it!! Here you’ll have the best authentic Colombian food on Long Island. I’ve tried many others before but they don’t compare to this place. You’ll Always be greeted in the most lovely traditional Colombian way which I love!! Everyone that works here is absolutely wonderful and the service is excellent!!!

Please change how you cook 17. Seafood rice so she’ll fragments aren’t in the final rice. Flavor is great, price and portion size great, but I couldn’t finish my dish after so many shellfish fragments. One is an accident, this many is a systemic trend.

To start off the lunch my waiter was friendly and approachable. I asked for a recommendation between two choices and herea my review of the Sirloin & Shrimp.
The Salad is fresh and crispy
The sangria is a good balance between tart and sweet but still light on the palette.
The beans had a sweetness to them and were so soft you only needed your tongue to eat them.
Normally im not a fan of rice and beans but this was a delight.
The steak was great, juicy and packed with flavor. It paired well with the shrimp. The peppers and onions were soft too!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting despite its small size they use every square foot without making you feel boxed in.
