There is a restaurant that my family and I loved to go to. Ever since the first time they came to Texas. We loved them in Florida and was elated when they came to Texas. That restaurant is Pollo Tropical. Then one day, BOOM!!!, they’re gone. For some reason I didn’t know, they all closed down in Texas. Well all the ones that I knew of. My family and I try to come to the Orlando area every couple of years to go to the theme parks. We had no plans on going this year, but the stars aligned and the trip was booked. As we were heading to where we were staying, what did we see? Yes, Pollo Tropical. We said to ourselves that we would fit it into our schedule. First, because we loved it. But secondly, because the others in our party have never been. My wife gets a cup of soup because she wanted to share with me. I get the Tropical Trio. My picky eight year old get the grilled chicken breast strips. One of the things that absolutely detest is black beans. So I kindly asked the woman taking the order if there was anything that I could change it out to. She said “you know what? I’m not sure”. She turned to the manager and asked if there was anything I could exchange the beans for. The manager looked at me and very pissy and meanly “NO”. Even the woman at the register seemed thrown with the response and said that they come in their own bowl and I can either give them away or throw them away. So a business would rather have you waste food and containers than substitute something with literally anything else. The food was good, the lady at the register was nice. But the attitude and crass attitude of the manager was so bad. Even though I food was ok, I will never step foot into this establishment again. If this is the way leadership is, then it’s not a business I care to further support. Not to mention, the restaurant dining area as a whole was just dirty. Maybe your experience will be better if you go. But I do not recommend this location.

I had an excellent dine-in experience at Pollo Tropical. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and clean, which made it a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and patient while taking my order, making the whole experience smooth and pleasant.
The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the sides were just as satisfying. Everything tasted like it was made with care. Overall, Pollo Tropical delivered great food, great service, and a comfortable dining experience. I did an uber eats delivery, so I can’t comment on the staff nor the atmosphere. I spent decades eating Pollo. I moved to Colorado 8 years ago, and haven’t had it since. I was in town for a funeral. I needed some good comfort food, and Pollo delivered. I was feeling so sad and down, and when I took a huge bite of the tropichop, I had a moment of peace. It felt so good. Thank you pollo for one of the best meals I had in years. I really needed it. And you delivered. Well, uber eats delivered, but you guys came through.

The young lady working tonight who prepared the meals could not seem to read the order correctly. Even though we had the receipt showing exactly what was ordered, the food was still made wrong. The onions and yellow rice were left out. When I mentioned it to her, she appeared puzzled and confused. It’s frustrating when the receipt clearly shows the order, yet it’s still not prepared properly.
Situations like this are unbelievable and reflect the kind of poor service that likely contributes to this location’s low ratings. Based on this experience, I would not recommend eating at this location until management addresses these issues and improves the level of service.

We are Vegan and our experience here was great. The employees were very attentive and the manager that night was very professional. He was on top of all of our request and he made sure that our order was well taken care of.

I remember when pollo tropical was good! How things change! This place was empty only two family eating.

I ordered thru Uber Eats. One of the items was a flan. They send me a flan with mold!! Be aware!!! That’s the quality of your food!!!
