Food is great. We order takeout atleast once a month but they NEVER get the order correct. They are always missing something or get the order wrong. Nothing is more frustrating than getting home and having the wrong order. So make sure you open the bag and look through it thoroughly.

11pm cheated me out of my money i might call corporate on her tbh … I ordered half chicken dark meat when I got to the drive thru she told me is going to take 15 mins and I said that’s fine I will wait when I get to the drive thru she just handed me the chicken and I thought she was full of it when I got home she gave me one white meat chicken and one dark meat…. If you can’t give me what I’m paying for just say that .. I work hard for my money and you gave me the wrong food on purpose I didn’t mind waiting I was patient but is all good

June1, 2025 afternoon visit….I was enticed to go to Pollo Tropical by the currently streaming ad for shrimps served 3 different ways ! I also have enjoyed the fried yucca, black beans and tostones. Today, I got nothing as I waited at the counter for service that did not address me until I turned to walk out. The employee was courteous but slow to reply regarding items I considered buying…anyway I soon learned my Boynton Beach location on Congress Ave did NOT have ANY shrimp…oh well, as, I dont eat the fowl…I asked about the potion size of the Yucca (enjoyed many times in past) and was Not pleased how much the cost rose and portion smaller. ( I have included photos to detail better than my words – the smaller tray was $4.99 …unfortunately disappointed that I could not get any nourishment to my liking….I also noticed on my way in no one was inside in line to order (Yes drive thru was serving autos) and no one was in facility eating ?! check out photos – a ghost town !

I just ordered a family meal with pork. Everything was good other than the side of beans which was pretty much a cup of water. Now I understand why my buddy goes out to the store on Jog rd in Lantana rather then use the Boynton Beach Congress Ave location. The beans in the image were about all that was in the large family size.

I went to pollo tropical at 5 thinking the food will be fresh and hot. Wrong . The chicken and, yellow rice tastes old like it been sitting there since opening or the next day. This is the second time I ordered chicken from there in the food doesn’t taste fresh. The food used to be hot and good at this location. These restaurants starting to sell people’s anything.

This was my 1st time at this location. I ordered my normal which is a half chicken with double salad. I received the driest and most burnt chicken. My daughter ordered a Tropicbowl, plantains and lemonades. The Guava Lemonade was tasty, the plantains were good but the chicken was a miss today

The pollo tropical located at 2298 congress ave., has to be the worst location ever. Dirty store, with poor customer service. The management team needs to do a better job. Fire the entire staff, they all have attitude problems.
