I love Pollo Tropical, but the location on Palm Bay Rd has been consistently disappointing. Almost every time I order from here, something is wrong or the food is dry and cold.
I decided to give it one final chance and went inside this time. My Tropichop bowl sat out for about 20 minutes before the rest of the ingredients were added. I could also hear employees arguing in the back, which made the experience even more uncomfortable and unprofessional. The manager did remake my bowl, which I appreciated, but unfortunately the meat was still dry.
I really enjoy Pollo Tropical, but this location seriously needs to improve its food quality, consistency, and overall professionalism.

First I order my food. It’s says you can add a regular side for $1.50 more. I get my receipt and they charged me $4.99 for plantains. I ask the cashier and she starts a refund. Then asks me what side I want. I say plantains. She said you can’t get that side for $1.50 I said ok I still want that. Maybe just maybe she could have just said that when I questioned it. They had to refund my card and recharge it. Then I get home get my food out and the Chimichurri sauce for my steak is missing. Just very poor service. I gave two stars only because the manager was nice and I could see he was just as frustrated with this cashier. Won’t go back.

It was my first time at this chain. I have to admit, I had hoped for more. The staff was very nice, the area was kept clean and outside looked appealing. Refill on soda was free, but you had to go to the counter for it. I had the fried chicken sandwich. The bun was cold (strange), but what I didn’t like was that my chicken was not fresh fried. It was cold. On a good note, the fries were very good. And I dipped them in the pineapple sauce, awesome!

Personnel very attentive at the counter order took a little bit of time even though it was for two people only. Food taste good saloon not very clean tables and floors dirty seats and tables have seen better times as they need to be changed. Windows dirty.

This location is better than the ones further south. They have mashed potatoes with gravy which is my favorite side. The chicken is fresh and hot. The service is fast and friendly. For a $10 fast food meal you can’t beat the quality.

Got take out for dinner and was disappointed. Hadn’t been to a Pollo in years and thought we’d try it for dinner. Many missing items and very dry over cooked food. Kids meal prep was missing the juice and cookie, Churrasco Steak platter didn’t include the Chimichurri sauce or any of the sauces selected on the order. Steak and rice were over cooked and dry even the sweet plantains were dry. Definitely check the bag before leaving for any take out orders.

First time there and it was just okay. Service was friendly but mixed up the entrees (regular vs. large). Portions of rice and beans were healthy. I had the chicken and not very visually appealing. Can’t get the garlic taste to go away. Husband liked the beef. Says it was tender and tasty.

Fantastic experience at this Pollo Tropical! This East Tennessee boy discovered the best of Florida today. Lydia and Edwina are amazing managers who make you feel right at home. I ordered the Tropical Trio with brown rice and beans—every meat was cooked perfectly: juicy grilled chicken, tender pork with a touch of sweetness, and flavorful beef. The sides were very fresh and excellent service make this location a true gem in West Melbourne!

I first asked the girl at the counter for the tostones with ropa vieja on top. There were posterboards and other advertisements for them on site. She said that it was being discontinued, plus they were out of tostones anyway. She asked another girl to verify if they were out, to which she said that they were. Oh well then, or so I thought. Opted for some chicken all-the-way tropichops (2). While waiting for the food, the 2nd girl who said there we no tostones left, pulled out 2 bags of tostones and split about 7-8 of them (frozen). Aha, I thought you were out??? I did not make a big deal or say anything at all, but i thought it was shoddy customer service.
I asked for yellow rice in my tropichops and unfortunately, some of it was undercooked (slightly crunchy).
