New Geist Guatemalan restaurant “Pollo Shaddai” just opened in the former Asian Cuisine space next to Amy Beverland Elementary School, just north of Pana Donuts at Fox Road & Oaklandon Road. I met the owner Walter (from Guatemala) this is their 3rd location the other two locations are in Ohio. I tried the fried Chicken & fries which apparently is one of their specialties. It was really good. I plan on returning soon to try some of the Guatemalan dishes they offer such as: Quesadillas, tacos, steak/chicken/shrimp with rice & beans, Empanadas, Taquitos, fried plantains, soups and salads. They don’t have a website yet or on DoorDash yet but working on it. Stop in and give them a try!
