They took really good care of our big party. Super nice and fast service! The place is really cute. My bowl was really tasty! The chicken has really good flavor and yummy fries. I love the plates they serve the food on! Quite different for a fast food joint. Can’t wait to come back!

We tried this place on a Saturday afternoon. There was a short line to order, but that just gave us time to go over the menu. We ended up with the classic chicken sandwich, a chicken nugget meal, and the Campero sald. While we were there, a family of 12 ordered family style option 20 pieces of chicken (some fried, some grilled). When dining in, you order your food and are given a numbered table tent. Find a table. There are 9 booths, 6 tables inside, and 3 tables outside. Your food is brought to your table. As busy as it was, our food got to our table fast, and it was hot. The staff are really on top of keeping the dining room clean and ready for guests. The food is served on dinnerware that reminds me of Bonita dinnerware. It is a fast-food environment, but the plates and table service elevates it. My chicken sandwich was juicy breast meat on a soft bun. I got the Yucca fries; they were crispy but needed a sauce. The Campero salad had spring mix, shredded cheese, and cherry tomatoes with a fried chicken breast; you could tell the salad had not been sitting around for a day. We got one Empanada, it was doughy and did not have a lot of filling. The loyalty program was a bit difficult. You had to add the app and scan it at the register or scan the bar code on the receipt, but our receipt did not have a bar code.

I thought the customer service was good and quick tor a place that just opened.
The fried chicken and grilled chicken was very flavorful. Unfortunately, I think it upset my stomach.
Beans were okay.
Fries were bland.
Tortilla literally fell apart after I took a bite.
Horchata barely had flavor.
If I were to ever go back, it would just be for the pollo.

This place just opened up so I didn’t mind the long wait in line , workers were professional and did their best but not everyone speaks Spanish so my meal was very difficult to order due to a small language barrier. Asked for a breast instead of thigh but got a thigh instead , workers didn’t tell me prior to me ordering that they were out of beans so I didn’t find out until I got to the window. I’m sure these small complaints will be fixed over time , the food itself was really good , chicken was on point both fried and grilled.
Especially the grilled , the seasoning tasted like it came from a mom & pop spot instead of a chain. The plantains were decent , Mac & cheese was basic not nasty but nothing special.
They were out of pollo sauce so I got Buffalo and ranch , both were extremely good and tasted homemade.
My biggest issue was the portion size and lack of drink for the meal , if you come here hungry the chicken ain’t that big so you better order more than a 2 piece like I did unless you’re ordering for a kid.

They said it would be 20 minutes before the chicken is ready. I thought it was a long time, but I was going to do it because I didn’t have a back up dinner option .
30 minutes later. I’m still waiting for the chicken. I just wonder how the drive-through people got theirs. This isn’t the first time for the long way here. No inventory management skills seem to be in place. Well my order is fresh.

The true sign of a quality restaurant is how consistent they remain for a prolonged period of time.
Pollo Campero can be hit or miss. Most of the time, the chicken is fresh and juicy with a crunchy crust. Occasionally however, it’ll get to the point where it’s like gnawing on your own shoe. Dense and overcooked or just having sat in the warmer for far too long.
They have completely deleted the breakfast menu and changed the hours to reflect that they are no longer open for breakfast. It kind of sucks because they had some really good breakfast items.
The service is still fantastic. They are very quick and always pleased to serve great tasting food. They also check up on you to make sure everything was to your satisfaction.
I had the two-piece fried Chicken with rice and it was the most delicious chicken I’ve had since the first time I tried this location. Very worth the trip.
And I highly recommend joining their loyalty program because every 3 to 6 months you’ll get a $5 off or a $10 off coupon with no minimum purchase.

I had never heard of Pollo Campero before. Apparently, South of the border, it’s as popular as KFC.
I went in unsure of what to expect. Due to this, I ordered the two-piece chicken instead of trying something more hearty.
What I received was perhaps the most flavorful, juiciest, crispiest breaded chicken I have ever eaten in my life.
If you dine in, you get real silverware and real ceramic plates. The service and atmosphere are amazing. The employees are welcoming, especially to new people who have never eaten there before.
I haven’t tried everything on the menu yet, but I will eventually. Because I am definitely absolutely 100% coming back.
Day 2: after I signed up for the app and the rewards program, with my first purchase, I got a $10 discount coupon code for my next purchase. I’m back again today.
I tried the grilled chicken and, while it’s very flavorful, it’s also less juicy than the breaded chicken.
The chicken sandwich is freaking delicious, with the juicy flavors of their fried chicken and very sweet, but perfectly balanced pickles on a soft fresh burger roll.
I have to say though that the mac and cheese, while it is flavorful and good, is more or less flavorless in the cheese category. As a pasta aficionado, it’s bland but edible.

I usually get a good experience when ordering food here, but today I’m very disappointed with the rice they served me. It seemed like they burned the rice and scrapped the bottom of the pan to serve my portion. It tasted burned and the rice was tough. I ended up throwing out the rice. I wished they had better quality control with the prices they charged.

This is a great fast-food spot! You order at the counter, grab a table, and either have your food brought out or pick it up yourself. I also love that they have a drive-thru — something you usually see more in the suburbs than in the city. The grilled chicken here is a big plus too — a healthier option that’s hard to find at most local places. I had the three-piece combo, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We’ll definitely be coming back!
