Classic Italian bakery. Half Italian and butter cookies, half pastries and cakes. They even sell pizza dough. We got pastries and while they were tasty, they did not stand out either taste- or selection-wise except for the sfige with cannoli cream.
the Napoleon’s custard is eggy. I don’t like the gel on the fruit tart but it’s still yummy. the brownie was hardened and its frosting was lardy & flavorless. many of the items appeared stale.
Looking at the other reviews, I guess we came on a good day – the only employee there was a woman who nicely explained the goods to us.

Polito hauls are my favorite ❤️ nice traditional Italian bakery that I grew up going to, not only is it the best but such a rare find these days.

Cookies, croissants and cakes are not bad but owners are very rude. I spend on avg $50 on baked goods a month…but I will not be coming here again. My advice, they should learn that customer service is the key to keeping a customer happy and have them keep coming back. With so many brick and mortars closing down and Costco, Sam’s club offering good baked goods at a fraction of the cost, offering superior customer service is vital for these small and mom &pop shops to stay alive and stand apart from these mega stores.

So I’ve been coming here after lunch at work on multiple occasions, to grab a small dessert. I always ordered just a few things like two rainbow cookies, one or two pignoli nut cookies, but today I was just told they would not sell me anything less than 1/4 pound of cookies. Unfortunately, I guess I’m going to have to find a new dessert spot. While I like the quality of the goods, I have no idea the theory behind preventing someone from purchasing something that is sold by weight. I guess it’s at least better for my health.
It was very disappointing to not be able to purchase just what I wanted.

So I was just in the bakery again right now about to buy two cakes, and I asked for one rainbow cookie to be added it to my order in addition. I guess my last review did not resonate with the owner, because the staff would not sell me one so I told her to cancel the cake orders. I’ll go take my business elsewhere.
Since everything is sold by weight, I will never understand why you can’t just throw the product on the scale and charge me whatever the weight is.

The pastry was decent but please look out for your workers. I saw little kids working there, sweating under no AC. They were very kind, but the work conditions should be better. It’s also unsanitary to have sweaty workers in a bakery.

This was my grandparents’ local bakery 40+ years ago, and I still prefer to come here from Queens for delicious fresh semolina bread. Today I needed a dessert to bring to a gathering tomorrow, so I called and asked if I could get some cannoli shells, with the filling separate so they wouldn’t get soggy. Was told that was possible, and I wouldn’t even need to request in advance.
Stopped by about two hours later, and the woman behind the counter remembered our conversation and went right to the back to get everything ready. Shells were packaged in the traditional cardboard box, and the cream was in a pastry piping bag for easy filling. Thought that was a nice touch.
Cookies and pastries are always on point, though I will say today was a rare off day for the black & whites – my husband got one that was very dry.
The store is very small so it can get crowded, ditto for the parking lot, but service is pretty fast and you can’t beat the fresh-baked scents if you have to wait a bit.

I have been coming to this bakery for over two decades. While the place has changed, the quality of the bread and pastries have been constant. They have a good selection and at great prices. The staff tends to be very welcoming and helpful along with professional and the atmosphere is very intimate even with you just buying your goods and leaving. I highly recommend visiting here for your bakery needs.
