What a find! Polish food off of I-84 on our way back home to Virginia. This place is fabulous. We had potato and cheese pierogies, mushroom and sauerkraut pierogies, kielbasa, beet salad, dill pickle soup, and kolaches for dessert. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. All of it was equally excellent. I sure wish this place was closer to home.

Incredible! This place is less than 3 miles from the Greentown exit on I 84. Well worth the detour if you like eastern European food. I’m from Cleveland and there are church festivals with great pierogies and kielbasa. This restaurant is every bit as good and with better selection. The decor is not fancy but the food more than makes up for it! If we’re coming this way again we’ll be back.

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem! Probably the best Polish food I’ve had!!!! Large portions.. Great service and super friendly staff/owner!!
Sit outside on the picnic tables and enjoy the view of the lake!
Cant want to come back!

The pierogi and the red borscht with dumplings were some of the best we ever tasted, even compared to places in Poland (my wife is from Poland and we live half of the year there). The family who owns this cozy restaurant were so friendly, we felt like family by the time we left. They couldn’t do enough to make us feel at home and make sure we had enough to eat.
I don’t often write reviews on Google unless really compelled to do so, and our experience at Polish Bites certainly inspired me. My wife and I were on our honeymoon in the Greentown area near Lake Wallenpaupack and she found this restaurant by chance. It was the best memory from the whole trip. Thank you Lech, Beata, and everyone at Polish Bites!

Lovely, relaxed dinner. Amazing home made pierogis, beet salad, sauerkraut salad, kielbasa, hoagie with black forest ham like you’ve never tasted before, and baked goods. Eat inside or eat outside with a view of the lake. This is not fast food, this is home-cooked food. So relax and enjoy!

Cannot recommend this place enough! We were in the middle of a massively long road trip and wanted some cozy comforting food to give us some energy, and the kindest, most welcoming couple gave us a phenomenal meal! It felt like coming into a polish momma’s house, and the pierogi and kielbasa were the perfect savory meal for us. We hit the road again and they worked to reach out after we left some items behind, and they were total life savers for that! If I lived closer I’d be here all the time, 10/10 spot

Fabulous find. Great authentic food – made to order. It’s not fast food, so be patient. The beet soup (borscht) with mushroom dumplings was great. Lech, the owner can out and spoke with us for a bit. Was there in September and will be back again soon. Not to be missed in Greentown / Ledgedale / Lake Wallenpaupack area just a few min off I 84.

My friends and I spent the weekend at Lake Ariel for a Bachelorette trip. Before our 2 and a half hour drive back home we decided to stop in to Polish Bites. There was 8 girls so we ordered a bunch of different bites. Our favorites were the cabbage pierogies, Jalapeño sausage, saurkraut and mushroom pierogies, & the borsht with pork soup. But everything we ordered was good and fresh. It seemed to be family owned and you can tell they put a lot of love in their food. I highly recommend to anyone in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

My family and I shared soup, pierogi a salami sandwich and kielbasa. The food was delicious! What’s more, the staff was so kind and considerate. We had the unfortunate situation of locking our keys in the car just before the restaurant closed. The staff (I assume the owners) offered their assistance in whatever way they could and waited with us for AAA to arrive. (They gave extra attention to our dog.) Besides locking our keys in the car, this was a wonderful experience all around.

Run don’t walk to Polish Bites at Indian Rocks. This restaurant/grocer offers authentic Polish food that leaves you feeling you’ve eaten something magical. All fresh ingredients; perogies and kielbasa are not to be missed. The dill pickle soup is a must. Beets and sauerkraut are amazing.
