I’ve come to like this place and it is a go to when I am on Church Street. It’s a great location, even when there is a line the wait is not too long, and the food is fresh. I get an occasional hankering for raw fish, and being that I’ve only found one good sushi place in Burlington, Pokeworks satisfies my craving. I highly recommend it.

Ordered through UberEats, got here pretty quickly. Sadly, I have some complaints. The white rice is undercooked and overcooked at the same time. It’s very mushy but still has a crunchy hull. I asked for my bowl to be torched and it wasn’t. The worst part? I ordered a Spam Musabi and didn’t receive it. Disappointed to say the least because I used to order once a week for a year until a few months ago once I noticed the quality going downhill.

Before I went here, I read some reviews that they would often get orders wrong so I decided to go and order in person. Even then, the employee who served us got my order wrong right in front of me. He put the sauce my partner chose into my bowl and had to redo mine. In the meantime, another employee took over my partner’s bowl and asked what sauce she wanted. When I told him, he said that they were out of that sauce so the first employee didn’t even get my partner’s sauce right (the sauce he meant to put in my partner’s bowl but put in mine instead). At the same time, the first employee rudely misgendered my partner. I would not recommend this place nor do I feel that this place is LGBTQIA+ friendly.
