This is by far my favorite poke spot in the city. The fish is always fresh and tasty. Their portions are very tenors as well. I typically order from here at least twice a week. Both owners and their entire staff have always been welcoming and friendly to me. I would highly recommend Pokebola to anyone who’s looking to eat delicious poke in SF.

I go here in person to get takeout at lunch. I find the food is always fresh and tastes great. Best of all, what should be hot is hot and what should be cold is cold. Highly recommend, their bowls are delicious and they give good portions.

This place refuses to let paying customers use the bathroom. Let that sink in. You take people’s money, serve food, and then say “no bathroom for you.”
So how the hell am I supposed to wash my hands? Am I expected to eat with dirty hands like it’s the Middle Ages? That’s not just disgusting, it’s straight up irresponsible.
If you’re running a restaurant and don’t allow customers to use the restroom, you shouldn’t be open. Hygiene clearly isn’t a priority here, and it shows. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome in a place that claims to serve food.
Save yourself the frustration (and the germs) and go literally anywhere else.

Love this place, fresh and tasty, they have brown rice and don’t charge extra for most toppings. Perfect weekday snack. Just make sure to tell them how much sauce you want bc sometimes they will put way too much on – first time I came here my bowl was completely drenched in soy sauce.
Inside they have countertops to sit at, but Patricia’s green is a short walk away and nice spot to eat outside. Perfect weekday spot.
A medium bowl with 3 small scoops of protein – $14.25 as of July 2023 – is about the right size for most people, get small if you want a light lunch.

I ordered a poke bowl from this restaurant and found a hair on a piece of edamame. I contacted the restaurant via their website over 1 week ago and received no response.
I hope they contact me to help understand how this occurred…this can happen but not receiving a response after this experience is not up to par imo.
Edit: changed to 3 stars following restaurant’s quick response.

We ordered 2 make your own bowls. One was salmon and tuna, and one was salmon and Hamachi. The Hamachi tasted like it had gone bad (enough that i had to pick it out), and the tuna tasted very watery (no flavor). There was some brown paste in the rice that i had never seen (i eat poke often). Maybe we just got a bad batch.

The price is great ($17 for 4 scoops of protein) for the quality and proportions. The fish was fresh, and the bowl was large enough for two people plus a little. Happy to finally find a poke place of good value!

Very clean dining environment and fresh food.
One of the best poke in San Francisco. Price is reasonable. Service is good too.
The only thing I don’t like is they offer no tap water.

Very confused by the 5 star reviews. This was the worst poke I’ve ever had. The bowl was full of liquid, like water? There was barely any of the toppings I ordered and the wasabi was SO strong and weird. I did order the zucchini noodles so maybe that’s part of the problem? But I will not try this place again to find out.
