We were heading home and stopped here, for the first time, to try Poke Star. It’s on Hanes Mall Blvd near Costco and Lowe’s. When we parked. We weren’t sure if they were open or not, even though the open sign flashed open. No one was in there and it looked not as bright as I thought it would be. We took a chance and we walked inside and looked at the menu and the line of toppings, protein, sauces.
The staff came out from the back. I wish they would have been more welcoming and friendly. We really had no idea how to order. A lady came in behind us and gave the menu paperwork to the staff. We found the paperwork and checked off what we wanted. We both made build your own bowls, to go. We loved the bowls and the sauce!!! We will definitely try this place again.

Best poke bowls in Winston-Salem! I absolutely love the Volcano Bowl. Everything is so fresh and delicious. The fact that they have both specialty and build-your-own bowls is a huge plus!!

I’ve lived all around the state and Poke Star is truly the best of the best. Their prices are great for the high quality ingredients they provide, and their generous portions. I come here at least two times a week and the dining room is always spotless, and the environment friendly. The family that runs the restaurant is always so kind and personable, it has encouraged me to come back often. Their raw ingredients are always stored in safe, cool containers and have always tasted/looked perfectly fresh. I could not recommend this place enough.

Cute little spot with a amazing food. You can either build your own poke bowl or pick one off their menu. I got the volcano bowl and it was SO good.
Both women working there were very kind and helpful. The place was clean, and they had a nice seating space with two-person seating or larger table options.
I’ll definitely be going there again.

This place is always amazing. The service is quick and prompt. The food is always magnificent and the service is spectacular. In convinced they can make my order without even asking what it is because I go here so often. One of my favorite places to grab lunch in the city! Vegetarians, there’s options for you here and good ones!

Very clean and precise. They have the option to build your own bowl which was nice. We opted for the volcano bowl which was good. Only draw back was for me it wasn’t hot enough and it could DEFINITELY use more protein portion for me. If you are hungry make sure to ask for extra protein

Placed pick-up orders through GrubHub and ordered for the first time with these guys. My hubby built his own bowl and I ordered a Pacific Bowl, customized by adding crispy onions for savory crunch and ahi tuna with my salmon. DELISH. Not to mention, it was more affordable than I thought it’d be considering sashimi grade fish is usually pretty pricy. Each of our bowls came out to around $15 each and we were satisfied with our portion sizes. Pick-up was also safe. They require and wear masks, limit how many people can be inside the establishment at once (I don’t think they’re allowing dine-in right now) and have screen protectors all around their food/pick-up station so you couldn’t breathe on anything, even if you tried. Made me feel super good about COVID and their handling of raw fish. I’d definitely eat here again!

Tuna was very fresh and food overall was good. Not the best poke I had, but fairly good. Serving size was reasonable and she didn’t cheat on the sauce amount. Worker was very nice and inside was clean. Full review will be posted on my ig: @seri_tag

Food quality was okay but the amount of meat added to the Ike bowl is the lowest I have seen in 12 or so poke bowl restaurants. Plan on ordering extra meat or you will be hunting for your salmon or tuna. Also pineapple was canned, would prefer fresh cut pineapple.
