I don’t live in Madison, but visited Global Market & Food Hall for my first time this past weekend. A lot of people I know are always overhyping this food hall, so I was excited go there for my first time. Of all the restaurants, I chose this place. It seemed interesting because I believe they advertise it as Cambodian food, which I’ve never really tried. None of the restaurants there seemed overwhelmingly busy, if anything it seemed like the place needs more customers. However, the wait times for this restaurant were awfully slow, took about 45 minutes for my food. They ran out of those buzzers to alert customers when their food is ready too, so I couldn’t go sit or walk around, I had to wait by this vendor until my food was ready. I came with my family, there were 12 of us. They bought their food from other vendors. By the time I got my food, they were basically done eating already. It’s not fun being the last to receive your food & everyone’s just waiting on you to finish now.
I got the drunken noodles with beef & their special for the day, which were pho tacos. My total was about $26. The drunken noodles wasn’t that great, the meat was solid though. The pho tacos were flavorless, I liked the tortilla that they used though. I probably wouldn’t get any of these items again.
If I ever go to Global Market again, this vendor has some other items on their menu I’d like to try, but if there’s a chance I’ll have wait 40+ minutes again, I don’t know if I’d be willing to risk that.

Carma Surprise
I had a crab rangoon egg roll with real crab in it, which was delicious. Plus i had the chicken pad seen with Asian broccoli. It was very fresh, hot and good. Plus they have hot sauce and housing sauce to put on your dishes. yummy!

My friends and I eat here often. We absolutely love their Pho and Bahn Mi! On Par with all the bests in Madison! I live in the East side and eat at Global quite often. One thing I must say about this place is that not only is the food great, the people are amazing! You can walk around the food court and order from other places, but their customer service is unfortunately not there. The other places are a bit gloomy and sometimes look like they don’t even want to take your order lol, but Poke Mi’s staff always welcomes you with a smile and friendly attitude! Highly recommend eating here if you’re ever in the area!

I will admit immediately I was not expecting much of this place, since its environs are kind of dingy in the Global Food court, and it’s a Poké place by name. But I saw they had Pad Thai, and I always order the pad Thai whenever I’m at a new restaurant.
The counter clerk was a friendly sociable fellow and we chatted about what spice level he’d put down for me. I said that I would be fine with “a step below native east Asian level of spice but above the average Wisconsin stereotype spice” and he laughed and agreed that did help clarify that I wasn’t a noob for spicy food.
In its plastic carton it immediately looked promising. I could see the fresh, crisp sprouts on top, and a good portion of crunchy peanuts on the side, and most importantly, not too saucy. The light sauce lets the flavors stand on their own more. I was seriously impressed. And the price was very good for 2023 as well. All and all, I’ll definitely be back here for more. One of the most authentic Pad Thai recipes I’ve found in Madison thus far.

Best Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and Poke Bowl we’ve had in the area. Great portions for the price and when we modify our order they always get it right. This is in our weekly lunch rotation at work and will do a delivery order every week.
