Used to be my favorite place. I went in to get myself a treat which is usually a medium poke bowl I normally ask for light sushi rice double salmon and a scoop of tuna. Even with less rice my bowl is always pressing up against my lid. Today I went in and it was a young short woman with glasses and I watched her serve a lady before me who ordered a small bowl. The lady who had ordered a small bowl asked for crab and the girl couldn’t find the spoon for the crab so she grabbed a random spoon and gave her a heaping scoop. When it was my turn to order keep in mind this time I didn’t ask for less rice she grabbed two very small scoops of salmon and a small scoop of tuna and then use the same spoon but gave me a small scoop of crab, I asked her if I could have a little more crab as I didn’t think it was fair I was ordering a medium which is a bigger bowl but I got less crab than the lady before me who got a small. The woman behind the counter told me she would have to charge me extra for the crab and I told her what I saw and she insisted it was just because of the size of the bowl that it looked like a bigger scoop. Not only did she insult my intelligence but I do not think she made my bowl correctly as it looks pretty scarce for a medium bowl And not how it usually does when I order. This one experience honestly ruined my opinion of this place and I’m never coming back. also just a cherry on top she just kind of squirted the mayo on my bowl instead of adding it nicely like they usually do

Ordered the large poke bowl with 5 scoops of protein and the portion sizes are quite large and filling. They are willing to make a lot of customizations as you see fit. Seafood was fresh with good flavors.

Family and I stopped by this place for lunch. Food was really good and FRESH! Which when dealing with raw fish, you for sure want fresh. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. Not to mention, they were very willing to explain things to my 12 y/o who was ordering for themselves. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant, if I’m honest, was pretty boring. Not much for decorations, basic white walls, made it feel more like a cafeteria than a fun little poke bowl place. Overall I would highly recommend this place AND I will be stopping by again!

I definitely enjoyed this place! It was my first time having a poke bowl, and it was delicious, fresh, and zesty along with tasty. The owner just so happened to help me out, and I am always an indecisive person, but the owner was completely patient and offered me wonderful suggestions. I am definitely going to return. The restaurant itself was kept very clean. And I overheard the workers making sure that they we’re keeping everything tidy, neat, and clean.

I came here for lunch while working in Modesto for the day.
The shopping center was frenetic at lunchtime, most of the parking slots near this business was full, but I managed to snag a spot close by (honestly, I could stand to lose an extra few pounds, so parking further and walking wouldn’t have been much of an issue).
I was greeted immediately by a pleasant young lady who was patient enough with me while I looked through the menu. If you’ve been to other Poke spots, the menu selection is exactly the same.
You select what size you want (basically how many scoops of protein you get, your sauce, toppings, dry toppings, etc.
I randomly selected a few items off the menu. By the time I went to check out,.I realized my bowl was so full, the lid wouldn’t properly close over it.
The food was delicious, refreshing and filling. As a bonus, the bowl it came in is one of the thicker ones, with a reusable lid (for those who like to re-purpose and re-use this is a definite plus!)

Went to Costco to get some gas and thought I’d go here for takeout tonight. It was a bit past 7pm. Walk in and felt the vibe was off. The lady seemed annoyed. Maybe they should close earlier if you don’t want to be there. Before I’m even halfway through the door, she asks what I want. No welcome, no pointing me in the right direction. .I’m like I need to see a menu, which is perpendicular to the door. Forgive me for not knowing every step and choice by heart. So I choose the 3 scoop and rice as my base. Then ask for salmon as my first choice to find out she has none. I should have just walked out. Especially since there was nothing cooling any of the proteins. So I choose 3 other proteins. They use the mini ice cream scoops here to minimize the amount of fish you get in assuming. Never had a poke bowl with so little fish. I finish my bowl off, pay the $15 and left. What a joke. $15 for a huge bowl of rice and barely any fish. I walked out, and threw it out and drove to Raising Cane’s. I’m not going back here ever. I seriously cannot believe there was nothing cooling the fish either. I’m not willing to get sick. The other location on McHenry is way better.
