Higher end dining, price wise. The atmosphere is wonderful. Service was a bit slow. We had the alligator bites for an appetizer, my husband tried the special that was a chicken and mushroom dish. He said it was delicious. I had a seafood pasta dish that was wonderful as well. The pasta are huge, I ended up with most of it as take away. They do HSBC an outside courtyard with access is from outside only. They do have some gluten free options as well. Parking is on a one way street.

The menu is different which is nice. Very flavorful. It was a bit over priced however. The drinks were weak. I would definitely go back though. They don’t serve jambalaya till 4 though just an FYI.

Absolutely safe, stunning, and supple in space and atmosphere! In walking distance of the river walk and the food AND restaurant is inviting. Don’t be shocked at their affordable burgers! They are bursting with flavor and the atmosphere is easy to get lost in.

Best catfish I’ve ever tasted and I live in Louisiana! This fish is the crispiest mouth wateringest thing I’ve ever eaten. With a subtle hint of heat and saltiness it’s tender and juicy on the inside. Love love love this place and the food. Their service is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Gotta. Heck this place out if you haven’t already.

A pleasant little spot on the riverwalk. I’m from Texas with roots in Louisiana so I know what I like when it comes to Cajun cuisine. The fried alligator appetizer was absolutely delicious. There could have been a larger portion for the cost, but they were phenomenal. The etoufee portion was much more generous and also quite good! Overall I would definitely recommend Poiriers!

A bit overpriced, but the food was pretty good. Hamburger is probably the best we’ve had in the area (and that was more reasonably priced). Jimbalaya was good, but I wish it had been more spicy. Bread pudding was outstanding. Hush puppies came with a delightful remoulade! That was especially tasty!!

Our first impression was that we really weren’t welcomed, the first waitress didn’t even say hello to us, just stated that it would be a 10 minute wait, but she greeted everyone that came in after us with a hi or hey guys!! Anyway, thankfully a much nicer, more respectful waitress came in and sat us and ended up being our waitress or quite honestly I would have left. The fish and chips were the best, the seafood pasta was a little bland and the shrimp and grits were just okay, I’ve had much better. It wasn’t worth paying over $100 just for lunch. We will not be returning.

Went here for dinner with the wife. We ordered the blackened salmon and catfish and chips for the main meal and crab beignets for starter. The catfish was flavorless as with the chips. Salt and pepper would have helped. The blackened salmon was okay. The service was blah. The only issue was never asked for our drink. I had to ask for them when the starter came out
