Let’s start from the top, shall we?
Please direct your attention to the portion sizes…
These meals were 26 and 28 dollars!! I put a plastic utensil to give perspective on how small of a serving this is.
Beef broccoli- The veggies were either over cooked or undercooked in the same bowl. How’s that possible? Did they mix an old dish with a new dish????
The meat was overcooked thick gristle meat that was unable to be chewed.
Chicken cashew – probably about 2-3oz of chicken. A mix of Cooked and uncooked veggies. Look how much rice they give you .
I would estimate they gave roughly one cup of meat and veggies.
The salad was $17!!! No meat. Just 4 slices of Avacado, some tomato and spring mix.
The sushi was okay. Bland. Didn’t take pictures so will not review.

My husband and I went with high expectations and were sadly disappointed. The food was so-so and the drinks were mediocre. We were seated in a very tight, uncomfortably cramped area right next to a water station. The only good thing about our seating was that we were able to see and hear the live music (which was good). We ordered tempura shrimp to start off our evening. We even pointed to it on the menu and asked the waiter how many pieces were included. When it arrived at our table I thought it looked strange, but we went ahead and each tasted the first of the four pieces of shrimp. It was !!! Rather than complain, we finished it. When I brought the error to our waiter’s attention later, he claimed they didn’t even have tempura shrimp (the tempura shrimp was listed as an appetizer on one side of the menu and the coconut shrimp was listed on the other side), yet the AC/DC sushi roll clearly had tempura shrimp included (as stated on the menu). All in all, our dinner experience was a big disappointment. Would not recommend.

We had a party of 5 and ordered an assortment of sushi and the Kauai Curry (pineapple). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the service. One of the members of the party turned evil and whispered to our server that it was my birthday. Our server very discretely brought a piece of pineapple cheesecake over with a candle in it. I really appreciated that, and everyone agreed that it tasted great. Despite our server’s discretion, the party led a raucous chorus of the happy birthday song, which the restaurant graciously tolerated. 10/10 experience.

This isn’t a five-star restaurant but if you want something casual and tasty this is quite nice. Set your expectations appropriately. Have been here three times and happy with the food, though the sushi prices are double of the East coast. I chalk it up to Hawaii inflation. I ordered the Bangkok bowl and it is at least two meals for me and I am a 200 lb guy. 16$ and happy with it. Service folks were awesome and we had a great experience for a friend’s birthday. Plan to go back this week at some point!

The food was not good. The poke bowl was decent, but we were disappointed with the sushi. The Poipu Roll was plain and just lackluster. The Jimmy Hendricks roll had good sauce but the fish was just ok and the tempura taste sort of stale. Also, our rolls came at different times and we were nearly done eating when my friend finally got her roll.
The atmosphere was nice with live music. The bathrooms were beyond disgusting, had caution tape and smelled bad. We also had to ask for water and could’ve used more than 1 refill. I tried to politely express concerns to the manager but he made excuses but did refund 15%. It has potential, but overall I would not recommend.

This restaurant actually has been renamed and rebranded. It’s a Thai food restaurant as well. It’s called the Thai bistro. We had an amazing meal. Listen to great music, and had a very reasonably priced beer. I think that the price of the poke bowl was well deserved because we got huge portions and it was delicious!

Great service. Immediately greeted and seated. I had the Loveboat special, my wife had the Poke bowl and my daughter had Pad Thai with tofu. All were very delicious. Sushi was very fresh with great flavor. My wife and daughter both loved theirs as well.

I was very hesitant to eat here because it does not have the best reviews. This place was amazing we got 2 sushi rolls they were huge. Also tried some of their pad Thai noodles. Very good serving sizes, delicious. Great service very fast and friendly.
