Our weekly Football pick day….best local pub. Best food. Best service. Nicest people you will find. Great camaraderie…specials monthly..Best natured barkeeps and waitresses you will find in central Maine….Thursday night live entertainment ( Dylan Brann is the best one to see and hear) Wed night Trivia with Ryan…this is the friendliest sports minded , local watering hole, date night place in the area….

Had dinner here on 10 24 Friday night there were 5 of us. There was not enough wait staff on duty, over 2 hours to be served. One person’s dinner came about 5 minutes after everyone else due to not preparing the onion rings on time. Two of us had cheeseburgers, we both became sick b4 we left. The illlness continued through the night. We did not realize we were both sick until the next day when we saw each other again. The beef tasted a little off but assumed they changed brands. The beef has to have been bad. I expected better as the staff and food is usually very good. There should also be another way to contact the restaurant other than this way. Not able to message on Facebook.

We had dinner here and despite the nearly full parking lot, there was still a couple tables we could choose from. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Drinks came quick and cold and the appetizers came out quick as well. We had bone-in sweet and spicy wings and some of their in-house made chips with cheese, bacon and some other toppings. The wings had just enough heat to them and the chips were awesome! About the time we were done with appetizers out our meal came, pulled pork melt with Amazing onion rings! It was really good but the bread could of been toasted up a bit more on the melt. The onion rings that were actually rings of onion (not chopped & reformed) were, as previously stated, Amazing! To follow up dinner we decided to get desserts so we got deep fried Oreos and fried dough. The presentation on the dessert was great & the taste that came with it matched! Our waitress was very pleasant and even joked back with us which is a must if you’re dealing with me! All in all, we found the service to be great, the food great and the price was surprisingly low for everything we got. Will definitely re-visit the Pointe Afta in the future. I hope they keep up the great work!

Pretty loud place. Food was OK. Steak tips were over cooked. Kind of pricey for a pub. Our waitress never brought our appetizer. She brought our dinners out first. Asked if there was anything else and we asked about the app… she looked confused. Then said she thought she brought it out. Came back to check on us once. Bus boy asked if we wanted boxes. She brought the check about 15 minutes after him and apologized for abandoning us. $100 for two entrees and 4 alcoholic beverages.

The Pointe Afta is like going over to a really social friend’s house that is a great cook and has tv’s everywhere. Great diversity in food and everything I’ve had so far has been really good. All of the wait staff is awesome and treat you like family. Our favorite is Chelsea and she actually has become a friend of the family. It’s a great place to sneak away for a drink and a meal for the night and it’s a weekly haunt for the Mrs and I. They have some pretty great musicians if you can make it for a music night or if you like trivia they have that as well. Overall great little bar with good food and great people!!

Went to the Pointe Afta, last night (Thursday the 24 of April 2025 had a large chef salad, it was the biggest and best chef salad I’ve ever had. All the vegetables, lettuce, tomato, green peppers cucumbers, cheese, ham and turkey rolled and hard boiled eggs were delicious. When I say big it was worth every cent. Thank you for all the freshness’s!

Seriously, you could visit this place simply for the sports experience alone and be quite happy but everything else is overall a win win.
