We tried most of the well-known spots around the island, and this was by far the best. Service was great, and the ambience was cozy. We came with a big group at the end of the day, and they took care of us dutifully. I came here specifically because I wanted the stroganoff, and it did not disappoint! It was creamy and perfectly mushroom-y with the subtle taste of onion. The Bolognese was rich, flavorful, and came in a hefty portion. The she-crab soup was the best crab soup I had! It was simple yet so flavorful. The scallops were okay, but they were a little too seared so it tasted mostly burned. Still, I loved the rest of the food and service so much that I had to give 5 stars. I usually hate pecan pie, but their pecan tart was moreish. It tasted almost chocolate-y. We also got a tasty complimentary peanut hummus that had a delicious hint of ginger. Also, they were actually cheaper than the other places we went to, but still moderately priced. All in all, this is the restaurant that stood out to me in Amelia, and I’ll be thinking about their food.

We had a lovely dinner at Pogo’s. The food was overall wonderful. Our server was new but was very friendly. I did not like the fact that they saw us next to another party when they were plenty of other open tables to sit at. However, when we stated that we would like to be moved, they did agree for us to be moved, and it was not a problem. The place is really cute. I do wish I was a little darker in there as far as the lighting, but that’s just personal preference. The scallops were by far the best I have ever had. Overall, everything was wonderful however, I do have to say that the gluten-free chocolate cake was incredibly rich and not very much to my liking. It was very fudgy and heavy. I did like the almonds that came on it. Overall, a wonderful place to have a beautiful and romantic dinner. Be prepared to spend a little cash, but it’s worth it. I do think it would be nice if there was a little more room between the tables to give you more privacy. We will definitely be back.

We sat at the bar for the first time in quite a while and were dazzled by the service provided by Marco, the bartender. What an ambassador he is for Pogo’s! We started with the arugula salad (pears, goat cheese, hazelnut) and the wagu carpaccio – both were fresh, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Both pasta dishes (mushroom stroganoff & pappardelle with duck) were exquisite!
The wine list has something for everyone, particularly the reds.
We couldn’t have been happier and will visit as often as we can. Thank you to Wade for keeping things running smoothly!

I don’t know how this place has a good rating, it was AWFUL. We came here under a reservation and it was not busy at all. The waitress was unhelpful and dismissive of us. The food took 2 hours to come out and we had no updates or anything, most restaurants would be very apologetic for this wait and make it up to us, and the food had the smallest portion ever for the price. We then asked for some ice cream for desert and they came back out with I kid you not a TABLESPOON of ice cream in a bowl for 3$. It was insane, I thought they were kidding, we then asked if this was the portion size and they said yes, then our waitress went to the host and started pointing and laughing at us and rolling their eyes. Awful service I will never go here again.

I live in the south side of Amelia Island and I love the fact that good restaurants like Pogo`s Kitchen are near my home.
But I have a few things that could have been better.
1. The She Crab soup is one of the best I have ever had but it was a bit luke warm temperature wise.
2. The bolognese pasta was too al dente for my taste and the ragu did not seem to have much meat and tasted different but not in a good way.
3. Lastly the menu has many good items including chicken, risotto di mare, veal cutlets, scallops, sea bass even a gourmet burger. But unless I am mistaken, there is no steak on the menu.
Sometimes I love a good filet mignon at a fine dining establishment like Pogos. I wish it would be added as a regular menu item.
Anyway I love the atmosphere, the service and most of the menu items including the complimentary peanut hummus.

Very creative Italian cuisines! We are so happy to find a great restaurant here! We ordered calamari, focaccia bread board with bolognese, pesto, and a cheese sauce for dipping and a arugula pear salad for antipasto. The calamari is lightly fried with a beautiful cheese sauce. The bread is home made, perfect with the dipping sauces, especially the pesto and the bolognese, which is light and flavorful, a perfect balance with the bread. My husband had the duck pasta. The pastas is home made and delicious! The duck flavor is excellent, no gamy taste, comes with the fig jam. I had Mediterranean sea bass with a delicious lemon risotto. The fish is excellently done with a delicate sweet flavor blending with the risotto and everything was just out of this world! My son got a hearty and delicious ribeye! They also have great choices of vegetables!! Everything is done well here. Authentic tiramisu! Many chefs try to be creative but they really balance the taste with their creativity here!! Three cheers to the chef!!! Also to the Excellent service!!! We will for sure come back!

This was our favorite meal on Amelia Island. Each dish was flavorful and the price point was fair. We were seated for our reservation right away. Our waiter was FANTASTIC! He swooped in and filled our drinks without us even noticing. The environment was romantic and quiet. We even brought our kids and they enjoyed it as well! There wasn’t a crumb left on any plate! Kudos to this lovely restaurant!

We had brunch here the other day and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and the space inviting. I would have given 5 stars for service, but it seems a little hurried and lax (server forgot our sides). The biscuits were champ, as well as the peanut hummus. Everyone enjoyed their meal, so what else could you ask for? Definitely worth going.
