Food turned out a little bit better than I thought! Meat was pretty tender. Good baked beans. Potato salad was straight mustard. They were out of sweet tea and the diet soda was just syrup. The staff didn’t seem to care much to help. The vibe inside is a bit disheveled. Overall, this is a one and done type spot for me.

Original owner sold his restaurant years ago, I was raised in West Monroe and loved it. Family moved to Texas. New ownership couldn’t keep up with the service, and original owner bought them back for what he paid, and got it back to where it was and it’s fantastic. Gotta try it.

I read all the reviews, and im very sorry I didn’t listen. When we arrived, there were no customers inside the first clue. Saw employee cutting ribs they looked a little dark bit I was committed. Received my food. And I was very sad and embarrassed that they sold bbq. The bbq ribs taste like wood.hard on the outside, and somehow the meat disintegrated in the inside. It was so bad that when you bite it, the bone also crumble. The green beans were straight from the can, and the bake beans were basic. I never like to write a bad review but this was ridiculous. All the signs were there I should not have overlooked them. I really wish the staff would have warned me. DONT DO IT!

Spent nearly $50 on 3 plates. Arrived home to find no bbq sauce and we were shorted a piece of toast. The ribs and chicken were both dry… like bone dry. At times this place is great but not this time. It’s frustrating to splurge on a food you enjoy only to be let down.

Food was delicious, service was ok. But went to pay with cash, we got charged a service charge plus the regular sales tax. We didn’t pay with credit card. We paid with cash. So we should not have been charged that fee. Its just right.

I ordered one pound of sliced ham for sandwiches at the drive through window. I kept noticing how the two workers inside were laughing when they gave me my ham. The lady, who cut the ham, was black and had long hair and the other woman at the window was white. I got home and opened up the ham and it was sliced into 4 big chunks. After the way that they were acting, I feared that they may have done something to the ham and I threw it away.
