Informal eatery offering classic Mexican cuisine for breakfast & lunch, such as tacos & enchiladas.

A great, authentic Mexican restaurant just a block off the River Walk next to the historic Majestic Theatre. The pricing is very reasonable for being downtown.
I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes with a fountain drink — $14.98. The green salsa on the enchiladas was absolutely incredible.
Rice: Delicious and traditional, perfectly cooked — not overdone.
Beans: Wet style and full of flavor.
Enchiladas: Generously filled with chicken.
Salsa: Yes… delicious.
Tortillas: Fluffy and fresh.
The staff was very friendly. I genuinely enjoyed the interaction — pleasant, upbeat, and happy to answer any questions with a smile.
I hope to see this place continue to thrive as a great local business. Definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!

Everything was wonderful for our breakfast at Poblano’s. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. You order at counter and find your seat – get food when number called. Friendly cashier recommended the meat/gravy taco (add cheese) and it was tender and flavorful on delicious soft flour tortilla. Also got an egg:potato taco and that was a great compliment. Hubby got huevos rancheros and a Bloody Mary. We left very happy

We were looking for some quick Mexican food away from the riverwalk. We got our food quick and the staff and environment was nice. We had the combo fajitas, chicken poblano enchiladas (very good), and crispy tacos. Everyone enjoyed their food, I’m not a fan of the rice, it was dry to me. Prices weren’t bad. Didn’t get to try their margaritas. We would definitely go back.

Came because it was a local business, stayed because of the food and the service. So much flavor! Our bartender was extremely friendly and our drinks were delicious. Go see David and you will not be disappointed! David also gave us some wonderful suggestions on things to see in the area. Support a local business and get some great food and drinks while you’re at it!

Where to even begin…only reason it isn’t a 1 star is because the food was semi-edible and I managed to eat about half of it. NOTHING served to me was hot. Everything was luke warm. Tortillas were chewy like they had been sitting around all day and the chicken in my fajita plate was very clearly processed frozen chicken from a bag. GROSS. It’s absolutely beyond me that this place has a decent rating….of course once you look closer you realize that NONE of the locals endorse this place. Just tourists who don’t know what good Mexican food is. Decent atmosphere, middle of town. All the service staff was friendly and attentive. The food though….horrible. Pretty sure nothing I was handed was made to order. Everything tasted like it came from a can or a bag and then sat around for a few hours. Proceed with caution. Would not recommend to anyone.

I’ll start by saying the tacos are not horrible , but wouldn’t order them again.
I order a juevos ranchero plate. The potatoes that come with that plate are straight out of the freezer with NO SEASONING. The beans tasted like the canned ones. If I’m paying $15.37 for two eggs, beans, and literally 16 small pieces of potatoes they better have some flavor lol.

The Church’s Chicken of Street Tacos…
I went off reviews and apparently what they had was from a whole different kitchen crew… these were the greasiest Carne Asada Tacos I have ever experienced… not a good experience served with dry cilantro the ghost of cilantro on the verge of past… with chunked onions. Who serves Street Tacos like this… my daughter ordered Chips and Salsa what an abomination- Pace Picante Sauce Tastes better than this… it’s more on the Campbell Tomato Soup Variety… so sad!!! My husband enjoyed his Chicken Poblanos Enchiladas though not his favorite- I did try them and for me they fell flat. I can’t believe they advertise that they cater. For me Poor Choice and won’t be fooled again… So keep it pushing if you’re looking for Authentic.

Weird model, but the food was delicious. As a customer, you need to order food and pay from the register, and then your drink from the bar and cash out separately. I had the chicken fajita plate and the chips trio. I didn’t know portions were so large so I didn’t finish my chips. I asked a server when she stopped by for a to go container. I waited over 10 minutes as she never returned, I ended up leaving. When your order is ready, the team shouts your order number into an old school microphone. The food was divine. Wish I had gotten that to-go container and had some left overs during my trip.

Being Mexican cuisine fans this was such a disappointment, the service was lovely, rushed but busy day so understandable. The food, so basic. If you want authentic don’t come here, it’s a Taco Bell. The guac had no seasoning, the queso was melted cheddar, the salsa was tomato soup, just awful. The taco special was unseasoned chicken in hard shells. If you want a good deal and basic food come here. Some of the worst Mexican food we’ve had.
