Reviews
It is a family run business and it is run very well. Mom, Dad, brother and sister are all very friendly and ensured every guest had what they needed. Service was impeccable.
Great menu selection and we loved each thing we ordered.
Thank you for a great meal!
If you are reading this, seeking a great night out, you should be making reservations next. This is a true family restaurant operating at the top of the game.
My husband tried this restaurant with his friends. And he was raving about it and asked me to make reservation to celebrate his birthday here. The restaurant was fully booked. I could tell that many of the customers were regulars.
We ordered appetizers, (I personally didn’t really care for the appetizer; soft shell crab was a bit too oily and salty for my preference. As well as Caesar Salad, was too much dressing. Calamari was average, Clam Casino was great). Lobster bisque was excellent.
Then, came our entrees. They were to die for!! Chef Kiss! Each one them was perfect! I ordered rack of lamb that I was going to share with my mom, and they decided to split into two plates when they brought it out! That was so thoughtful of them. Rack of Lamb, Seafood linguine, Shrimp & Scallop pasta, Shrimp & Scallop pasta in vodka sauce, ALL OF THEM were perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and huge portion! See my pictures, the rack of lamb picture was only the half portion!
We ended our dinner with tiramisu and lava cake with vanilla ice cream, they were scrumptious!
Oh, and they were so nice that they gave us grilled tomato with vinaigrette and cranberry chocolate cookies on the house! And both of them were crazily good.
Service was good, they are very attentive.
My whole family loves this restaurant, and can’t wait to go back again. Don’t forget to make reservation far in advance as they are booked fast.
To kick things off, we savored the Figs wrapped in prosciutto, a fantastic specialty dish that set the tone perfectly. The raw oysters were accompanied by two distinct sauces – a tangy homemade cocktail sauce and a refreshing oil-vinegar-based sauce with shallots, adding a burst of flavor to our meal.
The Calamari Special, featuring fiery sautéed calamari with generous jumbo lump crabmeat in a Fra Diavolo sauce, was a spicy delight, beautifully balanced by the abundance of crab.
The Clams Casino, topped with chopped clams, onions, tomatoes, and bacon, was a standout dish, but the true star of the evening was the Softshell Crabs. Incredibly fresh, perfectly crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside, they left a lasting impression.
I opted for the chef’s signature dish, the Seafood Linguine, for the main course. It featured a medley of shrimp, calamari, clams, and scallops in a white wine sauce that was robust and infused with seafood stock, achieving culinary perfection.
For dessert, we enjoyed cappuccinos accompanied by scrumptious cranberry biscotti, a heavenly crème brûlée with its rich, creamy texture and satisfying crack of caramelized sugar, and a decadent chocolate mousse cake that satisfied our sweet tooth.
The desserts truly showcased the chef’s skill in creating confections that left us wanting more.
Adding a personal touch to our experience, the chef, after whom the restaurant is named, came out to speak with our table. It highlighted the genuine passion and dedication behind the dishes we enjoyed.
The restaurant’s atmosphere was cozy and inviting, fostering friendly conversations among diners. The outside seating under a tent provided a comfortable and intimate dining setting.
A standout aspect of our visit was the friendly and attentive restaurant staff, making it feel like a welcoming family-run establishment. Both the son and daughter actively contributed to our enjoyable evening, offering excellent recommendations throughout our meal.
Overall, Po Le Cucina offers exceptional food and genuine hospitality, creating an unforgettable dining experience where great flavors meet warm, welcoming ambiance.
