We tried the gumbo, BBQ sandwich, muffoletta and al were great. I really enjoyed the BBQ and the muffoletta had a great olive salad and the meats were tasty as well. The bread was not what you would expect. The gumbo was seasoned well.
Note this is a IYKYK place. There is no signage and you would not know to stop if you didn’t see this on Google maps and read reviews. The locals call it the “red bus.”

Tiny little place off the side of the Blue Ridge Parkway. But the BBQ was excellent! Lean sliced pork combined with a real BBQ sauce (not the sweet syrupy stuff you find in the stores). Glad we found this place and will go back the next time we’re over on the Parkway.

Barbecue Bob runs the outfit here and he does a great job. It’s a great place to stop by on the weekends while exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway.
He has a selection of smoked BBQ and creole/cajun food. The sides were good too, we had red beans and also bbq beans- delicious.
The BBQ sauce is vinegar based, not too sweet, also delicious.
