Must try!!! First time here and we were met with so such kindness and amazing service! The food was 10/10!!We had the catfish po boy with a side salad, Jambalaya, and beignets and they even gave us free Mac and cheese! Food was so well seasoned and fresh, and nice portion size!! The jambalaya is made with lamb sausage, instead of pork for all non-swine eaters this is the place to go!!!

Place was so clean and so nicely decorated and the chef himself introduced himself to us and told us about the restaurant.

PLEASE DO YOURSELF THE FAVOR AND COME HERE!!

It was our first time here and we had such a great experience. The service was super friendly, the food was great, and the vibes were on point. Everything tasted fresh. The star of the show was definitely the mac and cheese and the beignets with fresh Chantilly whipped cream — absolutely amazing. We’ll definitely be back!

A true New Orleans restaurant has finally landed in New Jersey. Po Boy Riche brings authentic, rustic Creole cuisine to the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood in a fast-casual, BYOB setting.

This spot pays homage to New Orleans’ rich culinary culture with bold, hearty dishes inspired by the city’s diverse food traditions. Everything is cooked to order with no large batching, and there’s a strong emphasis on quality, freshness, and inclusivity.

Expect classic po’boys served on authentic Leidenheimer French bread flown in from New Orleans, including crispy shrimp, blackened fish, and the iconic roast beef po’boy. The menu also features jambalaya, Creole salads with your choice of protein, and a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options.

No New Orleans experience is complete without hot beignets, generously dusted with powdered sugar.

Luv this addition to the neighborhood! The owner is friendly and welcoming and their seasoned French fries with a side of creole aioli is worth coming back for. You also want to get an order beignets or bread pudding to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I tried the Oyster Po’ Boy, beignets, and bread pudding during my visits. The Po’ Boy was flavorful, well-seasoned, and had generous portions. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the oyster taste, but that’s just my preference, and I am open to try another option next time.

Unfortunately, the beignets were a bit disappointing—they seemed slightly overcooked and tough, especially considering the price of $7 for small portions. On the other hand, I enjoyed the bread pudding; it had the perfect balance of sweetness to satisfy my cravings that day!

As for the service, it left something to be desired. While the owner or manager was friendly and seemed inviting, I noticed they were selective in greeting and interacting with customers, and unfortunately, I was overlooked during both visits. I visited twice hoping for a different experience, but encountered the same both times. During my second visit, the staff behind the counter seemed more cheerful and engaged, which made for a better atmosphere.

Overall, it’s a nice spot that adds variety to the neighborhood, especially with their flavorful Oyster Po’ Boy and enjoyable bread pudding. While the service and atmosphere had some inconsistencies, I’m hopeful that my next visit will be even better—after all, they say the third time’s the charm!

RUN dont walk to Po Boy Riche✨️ Not only is the food top notch but the owner & chef, Darryl came by to our table to check in & chat with us! Literally all the food we tried (jambalaya, catfish nuggets, and shrimp & grits) was out of this world delish! Chocked full of flavor and spice. They have plenty of seating, the decor is New Orleans vibes- perfect for date night or weekend brunch.
We will most certainly be back!

This new spot in Jersey City seriously delivers. The jambalaya was amazing! Perfectly seasoned with deep, bold flavor and cooked just right. The po’ boys were delicious, packed with fresh ingredients and that classic Louisiana comfort-food vibe. And the beignets were light, fluffy, and absolutely amazing, the perfect sweet ending to the meal. If you’re craving New Orleans flavors in Jersey City, this place is a must-try.

After visiting New Orleans years back I’ve been hooked on the food but never found anything local remotely close to it. We’ll that’s over.

This place has the vibe and the flavors of Nola cuisine locked up. I grabbed a half and half poboy, some catfish nuggets and a slice of bread pudding. Let me tell you.. the flavors took me right back to Bourbon Street.

The seafood was well seasoned and properly fried – not greasy but just right. And the bread pudding was excellent. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Quite spectacular. I think better than anything I’ve actually had in New Orleans. Very welcoming and grateful service. Do yourself a favor and make sure you get the beignets to finish it off.
