We stopped while visiting Baton Rouge after seeing they won a Best of Baton Rouge award. Food was terrific. Poboy bun was fresh and just the right thickness. Didn’t feel like you were just eating bread. Roast beef had great flavor. Dressed with lettuce and tomato. Came with seasoned fries as the side in the combo.

This place looked ran down on the outside and the inside didn’t fair well either. It was just really musty inside. We had to make a pit stop for some food and fuel so this was on the way to Nola.
We got a few Po boys and fried pickles. The bread was not that great. Really doughy. But the fried shrimp was tasty. Just didn’t like anything else. Just need a little more zest or spice to it. Fried pickles were a little stale tasting but just dip it in ranch and you’ll be okay.
It’s just like any fast food place, you’ll order at the counter and wait for your food. The place was dead when we were there. Probably the only customers during the time we went. So yeah. I don’t think it’s super horrible but definitely not great at all.

I visited Poboy Express around 8:20 pm and my food was fried in old, burnt grease. It had a strong bad taste and smell and was so greasy it was not edible. I threw it away because it made me feel sick.
I called that night and was told to contact the manager the next day for a refund. When I did, the manager, Jeff, refused to refund me unless I brought the food back, even though I had my receipt and photos. Expecting a customer to retrieve food from the trash is unreasonable and unsanitary.
He didn’t even apologize for my experience. What made it worse is that he then ripped the bag open with his bare hands and thoroughly examined the po’boy, opening it up to see how much I had eaten. Watching someone handle discarded food like that was extremely disturbing and unprofessional.
The restaurant itself was also dirty, including the drive-thru and parking lot. Overall this was a very unpleasant experience and I will not be returning.

This was my favorite Po-Boy express so far.
Their Po-Boy was really good, plenty of shrimp.
I really like how their onion rings are sliced thin and they gave this glorious sauce to go with it.
The staff was much more friendly and personable. It’s nice to see places where the staff hasn’t decreased their attention after the pandemic.
I hope they are taking care of their staff because a lot of other places have not been able to keep up with inflation.
The price was very reasonable.
We even had them make three more orders to go after eating here.

This is my 3rd and final visit. Mia is a bit rude and unprofessional. Store is a bit filthy. Food is sub par. My 2nd visit, I had the shrimp poboy that tasted processed. My 1st visit I got food poisoning from eating an oyster poboy.

Before I begin, they are DRIVE THRU ONLY right now so no takeout unless you’re in a car. They were very busy, and for good reason. The staff was happy & friendly and made the food quickly. I got a shrimp po boy and breaded mushrooms. SO DELICIOUS! The mushrooms were fantastic and the shrimp sandwich was awesome. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. My only complaint would be that the sandwich needs more shrimp! LOL. It was all wonderful, tho and I highly recommend eating here.

One of the best po-boy spots in town they’ve been around forever. The roast beef Po boy with the gravy is excellent. Shrimp Po boy also awesome. They also have excellent hamburgers which a lot of people don’t know about. I recommend trying them! They also have very reasonable pricing. Staff is always friendly

PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE THIS PLACE!!!! 11:01 P.M I’m LIVID !!!! Came to Poboy express on Perkins,mind you I called and ordered before I left home ! Drove 26 mins to this place because I love there poboys but this Location was my first time ordering here after reading the reviews!!! Talk to the cashier ( same cashier repeated my order (2) times and he did as well (2) times get there at 9:02 P.M. to pick up order and yes they close at 9:00 P.M. but because I was coming so far and I kept in contact with him as I was traveling!!! Get to the drive thru to pick my order up and pay for it but I Thanked him first for waiting for me !!! Pay for my food pulled off !!! Get HOME AND THE ORDER WAS WRONG!!! DID NOT ORDER A PHILLY CHEESE STEAK BUT HE GAVE ME ONE WITH MAYONNAISE AND I AM ALLERGIC TO MAYONNAISE THATS WHY I STRESS IT TO HIM NO MAYONNAISE!!! Pictures shows he put MAYONNAISE PLUS DID NOT ORDER A PHILLY CHEESE STEAK POBOY I ORDERED (2) of the same sandwiches just one WITH/ OUT MAYONNAISE!!!! I WILL BE THERE TOMORROW AS SOON AS I GET OFF / BEFORE THEY CLOSE !!!!! Almost $30.00 for this order traveling almost 30 mins just to get Home too the wrong order !!!! Can’t spice and there’s JALAPEÑO PEPPERS AS WELL!!! I really wanted to eat so I tried to eat it didn’t see the mayonnaise until after I’m PIZZZZZZZZZZ/ LIVID !!!!!

I didn’t like the po boy. The shrimp are tiny, compared to other establishments. They need to change the oil often, you can taste it in the food . I rather drive the extra miles to New Orlean for some good po boys
