Worth the stop for any trip up or down the I-70. Located in a beautiful small town with gravel roads straight out of a Western movie. Your GPS did not take you to the wrong place!
Once you find a parking spot on the street, careful not to block any driveways, you enter the cafe in a historic building with plenty of seating. Amazing vibe with a constant flow of locals (regulars by the way they chatted with the barista). Excellent service by the lone barista who was completely slammed while everyone patiently waited. They sell a lot of souvenirs and books so you can browse while you wait.
Finally, of course, the coffee was great too. Bought a bag of beans to take home. Highly recommend buying whole beans and grind them at home

From a morning coffee to a midday burrito, a little sweet treat, and some uninterrupted editing time—my day felt perfectly complete.
Tucked high in the Rocky Mountains near the Continental Divide sits Silver Plume, a living ghost town full of history and quiet magic. Right in the heart of it all is Plume Coffee Bar, nestled inside a building rich with stories—some historic, some a little spooky.
If you’re ever passing through, slow down, soak in the character of this special community, and enjoy a thoughtfully crafted cup of coffee. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay awhile.

Plume Coffee Bar is the cutest, sweetest mountain‑town café you didn’t know you needed. It’s perfect for travelers wanting a coffee break with personality, locals dropping in for the hometown feel, and anyone craving a hug in a mug with fab coffee from Julie.
Julie remembers your order. She asks about your road trip. She makes you believe that maybe, just maybe, everything is going to be okay out there in the world.
Julie makes coffee personal in the cuuuuuuutest little coffee shop I’ve ever been to. 11/10 recommend

This little gem of a coffee shop located in quaint Sliver Plume and one of the best options for coffee along this stretch of highway i70. Coffee is great and the ambiance is really nice. Support local business and have much better coffee the same time

Absolutely one of the best coffee shops in the mountains. Great espresso beverages and unlimited drip coffee! I had the cold brew and the barista (also the owner) refilled for free – so nice. Lots of games for kids and the seating is comfy and combines some contemporary coffee bar aesthetics with silver plume’s old mining town vibes.
A really charming, friendly place to grab a drink or hang out for a while. Highest of recommendations!
