So, at one time, this place was as good as most overpriced bbq is but tonight took the cake. After sitting in line over 30 minutes, you can see below the joke I received for 20.09. Pay for a “jumbo” that’s really smaller than regular and then top it off (pun intended) with a teaspoon of slaw. So I figure I’m home. Oh well. Deal with it, right? Oh but then, the crème de la crème, a 12” hair laced through my sandwich like Christmas lights. Luckily it was not the short and curly variety, but none the last I didn’t want it or ask for it. Oh yeah and pulling it from my teeth made the whole experience all the more memorable!!!
So, in conclusion, last visit for this boy. I will let them keep their tablespoon of slaw, cup of “jumbo” pork and, well, hair.
Oh, the fries did rock, but I did sit in line at 1913, on a Saturday night, for 8 minutes, to get fresh fries, with no hair. Awesome job plowboys, awesome hairless fries.

Plowboys has excellent BBQ! The Blue Springs location did an excellent job packaging customer “to-go” orders as well. All the options I tried on this visit (pulled pork sandwich, cheesy corn, and fries) were delicious! My only complaints are the extremely limited menu offered and having to wait 20 minutes in the drive thru with only 2 cars in front of me. As far as the limited menu is concerned, and being in the quantity food service business myself, I understand meat prices are through the roof right now, but you’re a BBQ restaurant. You need to offer more than 2 options of meat in addition to pulled pork. Providing moist towelettes would also be a nice option (since BBQ is messy) particulary for those couples with kids. Keep up the good work!

Visiting KC for CHIEFS game. Try to eat at different bbq spots when here. Found this spot. Good quick service at the counter. Lots of choices. I had brisket and sausage, beans and Mac and cheese. It was all pretty good. Brisket was a little to dry. But it was pretty close to closing. Definitely recommend

You don’t get very much food for the money you have to pay. $13 for 7 pieces of burnt ends for a burnt end platter. (See picture attached) This has been happening more and more. You guys in the blue springs location are not taking care of your drive-thru customers. Nothing like when you get to work and open you lunch and see this. Definitely not like the other pictures that get posted on here. But again this is drive-thru. Even though it may be good, definitely not worth the drive to get to the place and not worth the money spent.

Ordered the loaded Nachos with Brisket and Loaded Fries with pulled pork. Fries were soggy and drenched in grease. The chips were stale but other than that Both meats were fine.

Wonderful BBQ. Love all the smoked meats. They serve a platter with ribs, pulled pork, brisket and two sides. I always share this with my wife.

Plowboys is such solid BBQ to eat. The food is fantastic. However, Logistically, it’s a disaster. The menu is incomplete with no descriptions and not updated and the customer service in the drive thru and store is a mess. It needs a manager for the teenagers working in the store.
