Good service and atmosphere. Our server Megan was great and so helpful! I wanted this food experience to be better unfortunately. I love a casual, no-fuss neighborhood diner, which maybe this would’ve been great for at lunch or dinner, but at breakfast the food was okay at best. We were served nearly raw eggs (which were kindly taken off our bill) and the biscuit and waffle were just alright. Sausage patties were tasty and coffee was pretty good.

We were looking for a restaurant close by and this came up in our search while on vacation. The food was good and there were no major issues with the service. The food took a bit to come out though. It seems to be more of a local haunt. If you’re looking for a typical diner experience this is a good place.

In the vein of Anthony Bourdain, we decided to stop at what can only be described as a quintessential hole-in-the-wall. You could easily walk by Please-U and never realize it was there – but it would be your mistake. Seriously one of the best po boys I’ve ever had.

An amazing family dinner, classic home soul food. Any kind of food you may want. They make homemade biscuits, breakfast served all day from 7am til 3PM. When you arrive you may see many well known local artists, and influencers of the city eating here. Come enjoy some Greek Nola style dinner food. Great prices too!

came for the first time here–my bf spotted the sign “Please-U” and we decided to stop for lunch.

I ordered the chili hotdog po-boy which was pretty good.

Don’t order the fries–it’s a waste of money…

He ordered a grilled chicken po-boy…and he said he enjoyed it.

Maybe one day I’ll come back to try one of the lunch specials…after I visit every other place in NOLA, first.

I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and the wonderful service that I got here last December while my wife was recovering from surgery at a nearby hospital. I was reminded about it while watching Hit Man on Netflix today. There’s a whole scene in the restaurant and it made me happy!

Typical dive restaurant in St Charles, on a lark I gave it a try. Did the half sandwich combination and cup of gumbo as a first-time vistor to gage the kitchen staff. Was surprisingly impressed seafood gumbo was good, despite the thin look and had great flavor. For a half sandwich seemed to duplicate itself between the kitchen and service counter, and was awesome. Recommended for a good ole Nola staple meal. Sweet tea was good and lemon for my beverage. Counter service was a little slow at checkout, and the bad orange hair dye did nothing but play on her phone, causing the holdup. This was the only pitfall for a surprisingly great lunch. I will return, even with the dated atmosphere and all.

Friendly and helpful staff. I was able to try authentic, delicious and reasonably priced creole comfort food here.

This place lived up to its name. It was quite pleasing. I arrived early and was able to sit anywhere. I didn’t feel pressured to hurriedly order or leave. I was able to watch Good Morning America and feel at ease while I waited for my order.

Based on the high reviews for waffles and chicken, I immediately ordered without needing the menu. The dish was wonderful. Perfect amount of meat and Belgium-style waffle. I write “style” because the waffle had the same thickness, but without the extra sweetness that would have ruined its compatibility with the taste of the chicken. Orange juice was not fresh squeezed yet it was delicious.

Overall, worth leaving the normal touristic restaurants in the heart of New Orleans. FYI I parked behind the restaurant for free. I hope that was okay.

Homemade food and was so good. Very welcoming family and waitstaff. Place is small but well worth trying. Will not disappoint. Sorry for pictures but couldn’t wait and the one picture shows we cleaned the plates lol
