Shhhh… Great Diner. Our party of four ate dinner around 6pm. Waitress was on the spot and attentive. Food was hot and plentiful. I had the chicken fried steak. The rest of the party had crispy chicken salad (2) and a French dip. I will be back again.

Stopped in this morning for breakfast after washing the car!

I have to say this Diner is checking so many boxes.

Talk about Nostalgia, the choices on the menu, the staff, the service, the food, the music playing, the ole timey juke box on the tables.

The food was spot on in my opinion. I had the Veggie Skillet with a ham steak, not with the bone-in, but still classic diner breakfast items and more.

I tried to finish what was there but was stuffed like a on Thanksgiving!

They have a cruise in Thursdays from
5pm-8pm. There was a white 92 Corvette parked out front, pulled my 17 Camaro right behind it Oh yeah!

I’ve attended the cruise in before and really enjoyed the experience enough to keep coming back!

I love the shiny, retro diner feel. You can’t miss this place! The parents really liked this place during their last visit so they brought us back to try it. We arrived before my in-laws and were seated promptly even though the whole party wasn’t there. I love places that do this!

The food was good. I can’t pick out specific things that I liked more than others. Everything was tasty. The biscuits and gravy were a huge hit with everyone! Drinks were always filled, and the table, and bathrooms were clean. They also had all of my favorite condiments. My only complaint would be the flies. It was an uncharacteristically hot fall day, though, so we’ll just pin it on that. And, the door being open frequently.

Ordered via door dash, food came hot especially the hot coffee! Th
e servings were generous, I had eggs, sausage, hash browns and for my bread biscuits and gravy. It did need salt, but I added that myself. Might be good to know for people who prefer it that way. The price was reasonable for this large breakfast brunch.

First of all the food was very good the service was amazing. Our waiter was named Archie and he was very attentive and you could tell he loved his job. And the best thing was I left my coat inside and Archie ran to my car with my coat I am so thankful! He’s a star!

Really good breakfast and we were craving a diner meal with no frills. I’m hesitant to order waffles because they get cold fast but my son’s, topped with strawberries and whipped cream, was hot and crispy throughout the meal. My French toast was the best I’ve had since forever. My husband liked his breakfast burger as well! Crispy French fries. Beth, our server, was attentive and kind. Wish we lived closer, I’d come back again soon.

This was my first time here, I loved the look of the place. It had a great menu, prices were good, service was very friendly. Happy with everything, although I would not have their classic burger again… It is a loose meat scoop of hamburger meat (not a formed patty) like a sloppy joe but with nothing to hold it together. I found it to be a messy eating experience.

I just ate at this diner Pleasant Hill diner. You can see from a vast major majority of my posts conservatively 90%. It’s not my goal to just go in and say negative things about hard-working people. I wanna start off with a positive. I had really good service. My waitress immediately greeted me at my table. Immediately dropped off my chili immediately refilled my drinks. She did an exceptional.

When it comes to the food, it was just horrible honestly and I don’t use that term loosely. The chili was OK. I guess the club that I had the ham was full of fat. There were huge lettuce edges that I couldn’t even bite through on the sandwich and the french fries were probably some of the worst french fries I’ve ever had. Picture french fries being cooked in grease that hasn’t been changed in four months and that’s what it tasted like.

I do not recommend this diner, but there is a diner called Drake‘s diner about 5 miles away from this diner. I would go there instead.

Pleasant Hill Diner is one of those spots I really want to love. The retro vibe hits you the moment you walk in, and it feels like you’re about to get an amazing, classic diner meal. The booths, the colors, the whole look of the place is really charming, especially as a non-American. Honestly, I enjoy being there more than I enjoy the food most of the time.

The food itself is… alright. It’s tasty enough, nothing gross or anything like that, just kind of basic. Nothing I’ve had has ever made me think “wow, I need to come back for this.” For the portions and what you get, you can find much better at other places nearby if you’re not after the diner aesthetic. It almost feels like the vibe is doing most of the heavy lifting.

I still go back every now and then because I do like the place. It’s cozy, it’s cute, and it’s a fun spot to sit for a bit. I just wish the food matched the look and energy of the diner, because if it did, this would be an easy favorite for me.

As it is, it’s a solid “it’s fine” spot. Great atmosphere, decent food.
