Absolutely amazing!! Food was very flavorful, drinks were perfect, and service was warm and attentive. Would love any excuse to come back over here.

A hidden gem off main street in Asbury. You might struggle to find the door as Plaza Tapatia also has a grocery store and liquor store. Cozy restaurant with phenomenal drinks my friend said it was the best margarita she ever had (I’m partial to the mechelada). Menu has all of the staples and I struggle to mention a single dish because every time I come here I try something new and I’m always blown away. Guac is incredibly fresh and the salsa/chips you get before the meal will leave you full before you even have dinner. Cannot recommend this place enough

Decent Mexican restaurant with a typical menu you’d expect. Quality of the food was fine but it was missing something as far as flavor was concerned. We all asked for the spiciest level of sauce on our chimichangas and enchilada but found them to be lacking and had to pour a lot of extra sauce on top.

So we haven’t order from here in years because my husband and i had a very bad food experience last time, but to be honest this time it wasn’t any better. I got the “chimichanga loca” and in the menu its says it come with rice, beans and the meat, but mine even though it had all the ingredients, there was barely any rice at all, the meat was pretty dry except for the chicken, and the steak over cooked. My husband got the “Caldo de marisco” and well no much flavor, and the crab that it came with was not clean from the inside, it was pretty disappointing. Overall it was an okay, but $40.00 for a samll chimichanga, with very little ingredients, also the cheese on top was pretty burnt, and the flour tortilla, over fried. So i hope someone else has a better experience.

Would not recommend. Waited over an hour for our food. They give you a spoon of sour cream and then wanna charge you a dollar extra for more. Poorly seasoned steak in tacos. Use gyro meat in the fajitas even though the menu says skirt steak. Didn’t even get our drinks while we waited for our food. Food was cold. Would literally never come back.

Food was excellent. Margaritas we’re on point- nice and smooth. Service was kinda slow. And when we arrived it wasn’t really busy at all. Overall good experience and I would recommend. I got the paella and it was delicious.

Quality of service and food, not the best. Very disappointed for the price. Food was a bit cold. The only good thing was the Margaritas.

This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant! Here are a few of my favorite things: al pastor chimichanga, chicken mole tamale, and the steak quesadillas. Both the green and red salsa they give you for the table are good. The sangria is AWESOME and I’m picky with sangria. I would recommend the red if you like red and peach if you prefer something lighter.

We’ve been looking for a good mexican restaurant since our favorite on on route 35 closed down. I think this could be our meeting favorite. Shrimp in garlic cream sauce was excellent. Bistek enchiladas were also very good. Great food store next door if you like cooking mexican food at home. Super friendly staff – even if they didn’t speak English, they still tried to help us (in the market. Restaurant was not an issue). We’ll be back.
