⭐ 1 Star Terrible Experience, Never Going Back
I usually don’t leave reviews, but this experience was beyond frustrating. I visited this Mexican restaurant expecting a decent meal, but from the moment we ordered, it was a disaster. I ordered the trio with steak and chicken, and they brought it out with pork which I never asked for. When I asked them to remake it, they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. We waited… and waited… for 55 minutes. My food never came, and no one gave an update.
To make matters worse, they tried to charge me twice for the messed-up meal. My husband’s order was wrong too he specifically asked for no rice or beans and requested fries instead. Not only did they ignore that, but no one ever came back to refill our drinks even once.
We asked multiple times to speak with the manager. Nobody ever came out not once in over an hour. We had to threaten to call the police just to get them to fix the bill. The food we did get was bland and completely lacked seasoning. We weren’t the only ones having issues other tables were also complaining about their orders being wrong.
In the end, I never got my food. I left and had to go next door to get something to eat. That says it all. This place needs serious help with their service, communication, and kitchen staff. Absolutely unacceptable.

We had a wonderful dinner. Our server, Scarlett was the absolute best. Chips and salsa were great. I ha the enchilada supremas and they were as expected. We will be going back.

Food was pretty good, not greasy or overwhelming with oil, but tastefully cooked. Possibly one of the best places for authentic Mexican food. Waiting team is very pleasant and friendly, a bit small of a restaurant, so I wouldn’t suggest large parties. Overall, very nice place to have a dinner date. Only downside is that the prices are a bit on the higher end for the amount of food you get.

Oh my goodness – impressed is a severe understatement! We went on Cinco De Mayo – and we both worked in the service industry so we honestly expected less than par service and food because they were so busy. We were so very wrong! Immediately greeted, they sat us in minutes, our drinks were at our table SO fast. The cheese sauce – DELICIOUS. Margaritas were incredible – I am not a fan of marg mix, so I ordered the skinny margarita and it was so refreshing and tasted so light, not the heavy, sweet mix. My fiancé ordered their regular margarita and was also impressed (he ordered 2 more haha!). He also ordered their Fajitas with steak, chicken, and cheese sauce on the side – came out hot and delicious, and I got the Burrito Loco with steak (servers recommendation!) and I am still dreaming about it! Steak cooked perfectly, everything was fresh, HUGE portions… we will be back!!!!

Food was cold I waited 40 mins. Food had no flavor, I did not get what I paid over $40 for. I will NEVER RETURN the service was terrible one waitress for entire restaurant.

The food is really good but what prompted me to write a view was the amazing waitress! I didn’t catch her name but she has glasses. I heard a song I really liked and asked if she could find out the name for me, and she did! Even helped me search for it on YouTube. Super sweet of her! There was a little mishap where something was forgotten on my order (chef in training, it happens no biggie!) The waitress who was assigned to our table (not the one mentioned previously) fixed it though and they put a discount on one of our items to make up for it which wasn’t necessary at all but so thoughtful.

There has been a middle school large staff change and the restaurant is much cleaner more efficient and the staff is definitely more friendly
The food has always been great but even the quality of that inconsistency has much improved definitely if you’re in the Zebulon area on some good quality Mexican food this is a place to go

My friends and I had a wonderful experience dining at Plaza Del Mariachi last night. We had a large party of 15 people. We called ahead to give them a heads up. When we arrived they had everything ready for us. The decor is fun and colorful.
We loved ur meals that arrived fast. My dish was fresh and tasted great! The wait staff took good care of us and the owner, Alma, was friendly and welcoming. I recommend this restaurant. I definitely plan on dining there again in the near future!

11/22/20 update. I called in an order for pickup. When I arrived, my food was not quite ready; so, I took a seat and waited. I would periodically check to see if my order was ready, but since the staff was busy, I was mostly depending on the waitress to let me know when the food was ready. After patiently waiting for more than 30 minutes, I asked about my food. I was told that my food had been ready for about 25 minutes. Because my food had been sitting out for so long, I thought that I would check the temperature of my food, and to my dismay, my food was no longer hot; since I had made my presence known to the staff, and since the staff had failed to notify me when my food was ready causing me to have to wait for an extended period of time, I asked to have my food remade so that I would be fresh and hot when I returned home. Reluctantly, the manager agreed to remake the food. When I returned home, I found that because the food was reheated in the container, the styrofoam had in some places melted into the food (see photos). Nothing like carcinogens with your lunch. Now I know that have to be that guy that checks his food prior to leaving this restaurant. Bottom line, if you call in an order, check your food before you leave.
