Lovely venue and the food was absolutely delicious! The Fish and Chips were scrumptious. I am curious as to why customers must ALL be seated right on top of one another when there are enough available spaces for customers to be seated apart. Especially if there are crying, loud and whining children within arms length of you. Luckily we were waiting for our cheque but that would have definitely changed my experience into a negative one.

Never disappoints! My favorite smothered breakfast burrito with impossible sausage..red of course. Blue corn piñon pancake is awesome! If I’m alone I can sit at the bar.

After eating dinner, which was very good(the Burrito), they brought out 2 Bischiquitos as a complimentary meal ender. They were so good I bought 2 boxes which were $8.50 each. On the box it says each serving is 4 pieces and that there were 6 servings in each box. Problem was that there were only 18 in the first box and 20 in the second-not the 24 I was expecting-hence the 2 star rating. Deceptive practice going on

Always good food and service.
Check out their Mexican Shakshuka, if you like a little spicy Chipotle sauce.
Went back on 08.15.25.
We had the blue corn chicken enchiladas, Norteno tacos, and Spinach salad.
Alex, the manager was awesome and nice. Our server Juany was very attentive and nice.
Had breakfast 8/3]/25.
Very good as always.

Love on a plate! Whether you are Team Green, Red or Christmas, you should definitely be on Team La Plaza! Skip the overhyped places downtown to find this Southside gem with loads of easy, free parking – you won’t be sorry! The wide menu presents an impossible choice between the stuffed sopaipilla, frito pie, blue corn pancakes or Santa Fe green goddess salad or crispy avocado tacos. Don’t miss the Ness Farm beans or the prickly pear lemonade. We always hope to be seated in Antonio’s section, but all the staff are top notch. This team take care of guests and each other, giving the atmosphere a genuinely warm, family feel. This spot is a regular for us that always feels special.

We were here from Texas for Valentine’s weekend and ate a late meal at the Plaza Cafe Southside and WOW was it worth the wait. When we got there we had to wait probably less than 10 minutes but once seated we had the most awesome waiter named Jose or JJ and let me tell you he was the best and gave us his undivided attention. He knew how to work the tip and food was the best we ever had especially with the beans and Mexican rice. Then came the dessert which was apple Carmel pie with ice cream. The best! Thank you for a great dining experience

This looks like the same Plaza Cafe Downtown, so you will find here the same recipe of the best French Toast. My party got Huevos Rancheros, Breaded Chicken with gravy and eggs. They really like it. Very busy, but we didn’t wait for more than 10 minutes. Coffee were not super strong but was really good. Great service.

Great happy hour, had fun with my work friends! Tasty fish & chips, nachos, and guacamole. House margaritas for $5. The servers are excellent!

Went with my nurse friends for happy hour and we had very slow service. The drinks were still good. The posole was not good, at all. It was a bowl of pork with 5-6 pieces of hominy with a clear broth…pork was gray and just not soft enough. I had a few bites and just had the server take it away. They did not offer to fix it or take the item off the check. 2 of us ordered it and were grossed out. The bowl of chili looked like a crumbled up burger sitting on top of pinto beans with cheese on top. The prices do not justify the food at this point. The food has gone way downhill. Makes me sad bc we loved this place just a few months ago! Maybe they are having staffing issues, like a lot of other restaurants.

Stopped in for lunch. Got really good service for sure. Tried the stuffed sopaipillas which were really tasty. Had never had sopaipillas in a savory context but it worked. You also get a couple of bizcochitos at the end of the meal. Was definitely worth going a bit out of the way for this.

I have a problem in NM restaurants, as I am allergic to green chilies, but love Mexican food. It’s always an adventure.
