Finally found my Mexican go to meal.
Happy Hour $6.50 margaritas, super queso dip, and seafood chimichangas from Plaza Azteca.
The food was amazing. Our waiter, Daniel, was a joy. Perfection all the way around.
We came here when they first opened and years later, today.
Needed a box for leftovers.
Will definitely return soon.

Absolutely delicious food, hubs said they were the best fajitas he’s ever had! So much food for great prices, and the ingredients tasted very fresh. Can’t wait to go back.
My only complaint – I was freezing!

We went in today for the first time and it was fantastic! The staff were very polite, friendly and courteous. The food was incredible! Cooked perfectly and so much flavor, but not overly spicy like Americanized Hispanic food. Will absolutely go back.

Plaza Azteca Mexican Restaurant in York has a beautiful and inviting décor that creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The appetizers were delicious, fresh, flavorful, and a great start to the meal.
The fajitas, however, were a letdown compared to other Plaza Azteca locations we’ve visited. While the presentation was just as appealing, served sizzling with colorful peppers and onions. The flavor was seemed noticeably bland to me, and I do love fajitas, but these lacked the bold, well-seasoned taste we’ve enjoyed elsewhere. Still, the service and ambiance made for a pleasant dining experience overall.

Went with a friend a few weeks ago. We were seated fast and then waited for a while for the waitress. It’s was around 7 pm the waitress came over ordered are drinks. Then walked away awhile later came back to get are order. Left again and didn’t see the waitress for awhile. When we saw the waitress we asked if we could get chips and salsa. The waitress said yes there coming we were sitting there already for like 20 minutes or longer. The chips and salsa did come about 10 minutes later. We sat there and ate the chips. When we saw are waitress again. I had to ask her when are we getting our drinks. She said that they were coming. Five minutes later they showed up. She came back five minutes after that and asked what food we ordered because there was a mixup in the kitchen. We were there taking a sip of our drinks my drink was fine but my friends drink taste like a tea instead of coke. My friend didn’t want to say anything since we waited so long for our drinks. Then our food showed up it looked good. My food tasted amazing but my friends food taste off like the pork was a little sour. But we ate our food and got the hell out of there. We left and not even ten minutes later my friend was sick and throwing up. So we will not be going back there again. Very disappointed with the service

The restaurant itself, while it seemed nice, it not very Mexican. That isn’t our issue. Our issue was the food.
We ordered the table side guacamole and they accommodated our ingredient requests. However, there was so much lime squeezed into it, that is all we could taste. It was so tart, it was completely inedible.
When our food came it looked fine, however there was no real Mexican flavors. I will add while I grew up in the Baltimore area, my husband grew up in San Diego. We know what Mexican flavors are supposed to taste like and there were none in this food.
Yes I could tell the fillings in my enchiladas were chicken, cheese and beef. But there was no seasoning. My husband ordered the chicken chimichanga, which is supposed to be fried. It looked and tasted like a burrito. No color on the tortilla at all. He also commented about the lack of flavor of his chicken.
The price we paid was certainly far to great for what we got. I’ve had Taco Bell that was better. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

I’m not done eating. I have stopped eating to leave this review, because the food here is absolutely incredible; I mean, it’s throw-your-glasses good. Everything is fresh, the flavours are vibrant, the food is seasoned to perfection. Easily one of the top five best meals I’ve had. My only complaint is that I live about 40 minutes away from the restaurant, which in my opinion is too far away.
If you like Mexican cuisine, come here. Get the Burrito San Jose; it’s incredible. My wife just told me these are the best fjaitas she’s ever had and I tried the steak so I agree. Also, the guacamole appetizer is made fresh tableside, so do that too.

My family are regulars at this Plaza Azteca location since it’s closest to our home. The staff is always polite and welcoming, regardless of the time of day. The complimentary chips and salsa are usually good, although occasionally the chips haven’t been as fresh. My orders are mostly accurate, but I’ve had a couple of issues with incorrect requests, like sour cream on my food or flour tortillas instead of corn that I requested. The shrimp dishes are my go-to, especially the fajitas, which are always a hit. However, some dishes can be overly salty. The cheese dip and plantains are tasty, but the plantains are a bit pricey for my taste. The iced tea is great, and the drink refills are always taken care of. With plenty of seating, it’s usually possible to get a table even when it’s crowded. Overall, Plaza Azteca is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area.
