We ordered three bowls: a mango berry, electric mermaid, and tide. Every bowl was delicious, made with fresh and tasty ingredients. Customer service was great as well. My guests definitely said they’d return.

**5 Stars – A Taste of Summertime All Year Round!**

Playa Bowls on Route 40 in Ellicott City is an absolute gem. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with an inviting atmosphere and incredibly friendly workers who always have a smile on their faces. The service is top-notch, with every request for a Playa Bowl being fulfilled with remarkable attention to detail.

Each bowl not only tastes fresh but is also crafted to look as appealing as possible, always using fresh ingredients. The variety of flavor combinations is impressive, and no matter what you choose, you’re in for a delicious treat. The store itself is spotless, bright, and filled with fun music, making it a perfect place to enjoy a taste of summertime all year round!

If you haven’t tried Playa Bowls yet, I highly recommend stopping by. It’s a delightful experience from start to finish, an easy 5-star rating!

Total beach vibe with the decorations! The salespeople were very nice, although I always feel a little awkward putting 0 tip on the checkout. I prefer to put $1 each in cash in the tip jar. The service was excellent, just the right level of helpfulness. It was super-nice that I could switch out the banana for blueberries (more antioxidants and I don’t like paying top dollar for banana) for blueberries – I hope no one gets in trouble for that substitution!

Fresh ingredients and they don’t shy away from quantity. Service was great and very friendly, can’t praise them enough of the cleanliness inside.

Playa Bowls has quickly become my favorite chain, and the Ellicott City location is one I find myself coming back to again and again. I’ve been to other locations before and always enjoyed their fresh, vibrant offerings—but there’s something about this spot that keeps me coming back.

The Pacific Playa Bowl is my all-time favorite. It’s the perfect blend of refreshing, sweet, and satisfying—whether I’m grabbing a quick breakfast, a post-workout pick-me-up, or a healthy treat during the day. The ingredients are always fresh, and the flavors are consistently on point.

The staff here are friendly and efficient, and the space is clean and welcoming. It’s clear they care about quality and customer experience. I highly recommend this location if you’re in the area or just looking for your next healthy obsession!

Very convenient location. There’s plenty of parking even though it’s next to other restaurants and businesses. The staff are always helpful with questions about the product. We were thrilled when the location opened. Close to our house. Service is always very good the location is clean. We love the quality of their bowls and there’s plenty of flavors to choose from. My favorite is the mango berry bowl.

Stoked that they’re finally here in EC. We so needed an acai bowl spot that was GOOD. Thank you Abby for putting a location in this area.

I got a mixed bowl with acai and banana base, it was tasty.

The service was decent.

I will definitely be a staple.

Went to Playa Bowls during their grand opening, awesome experience!! Of course there were a lot of people, it’s a grand opening…but the staff was friendly, professional, and handled the crowd well. The very first customer received a bouquet of roses from the owner which was a nice gesture. Lots of bowl base options to choose from (açaí, green, banana, pitaya, coconut, chia pudding, oatmeal, and special)! I got the Nica Bowl (banana based bowl with high quality ingredients), it was very tasty and filling! I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture of my bowl, by the time I thought about it, the bowl was already finished. I will definitely visit again!
