Update: Finally placed my order and these bowls were delivered nor even full. Not to mention the bowls contained fruit that was over ripe and turning brown. This is so concerning as again it they are directly across the street from my office and I would lie to continue using them. I guess the only option is ordering in person and having my assistant pick up to ensure quality control. Extremely disappointing each bowls was $12 and I couldn’t use them for my meeting.
Playa Bowls offers delicious and healthy bowls, but their ordering process leaves much to be desired. They don’t take orders over the phone, and their website can be unreliable. While the staff are generally friendly, they seem young and inexperienced, often unable to provide effective solutions when issues arise.
For example, I recently encountered issues with their website and called to inquire. The employee simply stated that I was the second person to report the problem and brushed it off without offering any solutions or assistance.
While these may seem like minor inconveniences, they create unnecessary frustration for customers. I understand that these are minor issues in the grand scheme of things, but a bit more customer service would go a long way.
On a positive note, I did have a positive experience a few months ago when a manager assisted me with an order for two fruit bowls.
Overall, Playa Bowls has the potential to be a great spot, but improvements to their ordering process and customer service are needed.

Pro tip if it’s 3 min before official open but you leave the front door unlocked don’t be shocked when someone walks through. The young man working this morning could throw some ‘nice’ in his customer service routine IMO. Go wait outside for 3 min….uh why?! I tried to order online with a 20 min lead time and the system wouldnt take my order.

We hardly ever leave a bad review. We are huge smoothie people and get them all over.
WORSE smoothie we’ve ever had, hands down. We got the banana peanut butter.
Zero flavor and couldn’t taste a drop of peanut butter. They just add a little decorative drizzle of peanut butter.
Much much better options out there

I don’t understand what happened. Literally the worst smoothie bowl I’ve ever had. I ordered the Dragonberry Bowl. The smoothie part seemed like it was frozen dragonfruit and ice. It had the consistency of a snow-cone. The blueberries on top were not fresh. Granola was crappy as well. $13. Garbage.

I LOVE coming here but today I want to thank Briana for making THE BEST looking bowl I’ve received from this location and for her cheerful attitude. She took great care of me and is appretiated.

I love Acai Bowls and have had them many places. Playa Bowls has one of the best. I love the Pura Vida ( I get a banana added on). The bowls are generous and full of fruit; when you dig into the acai, there’s even more fruit and delicious granola buried underneath! Perfect for a refreshing and healthy summer meal or treat!!

The ladies are always pleasant and accommodating. I thought I had completed my order by the app, but I did not send. Even so they took care of me quickly. The juices are always delicious; I am healthily hooked.

When I tell you, I just had the worst experience in my life first and foremost I asked the cashier for a mango glow bowl, but the only thing I want in my mango global was mango base, kiwi, strawberries, and pineapples I noticed he put blueberries in there after not asking for it. I told the other customer service cashier that he added blueberries and I didn’t ask for it. She was going to take it off, but I was in a rush so I said never mind. I didn’t mind the blueberries then as I’m eating the bowl boom my face blows up like a damn fish. I immediately grabbed my EpiPen. He freaking added chocolate, which I’m highly allergic to never asked for a chocolate This was by far the worst experience I’ve Heard from this company and I come to plya bowl at least twice a week this was by far the scariest experience I ever experienced then I never got a copy of my receipt so when I checked my Apple Pay I noticed for one bowl I was charged $17 never in my life. Have I ever paid that much for a bowl? I’m from New Jersey and I usually go to my local plya located in Cherry Hill and get the same thing I don’t know if it’s a price difference or what but corporate will definitely be called.
